ross's POV
asher was actually pretty cool. to be completely honest, our football landing over by her was not an accident. i just wanted to create a way to talk to her. i mean yes, she was extremely pretty, but she was also really funny and easy to get along with.
right now i am getting ready for our date... at least i hope its a date. i woke up a little extra early to shower and not look like a smelly teenage boy for her. i was so pumped and nervous. riker had to calm me down and pep talk me. "ross, your litterally shaking. chill out bro." he said as if it was easy.
"riker, i can't. i don't want to screw this up because she seems so different and i really like that about her." words spilled out of my mouth before i even knew or considered what i was saying.
"if you really feel that way, i'm sure you won't mess it up." riker gave me a reassuring smile and he shoved me out the door. "good luck!" he yelled as he slammed the door shut.
unlocking my car to drive to the park, i gave myself one last breath to calm down the butterflies in my stomach then turned the key in the ignition.

here goes nothing.

asher's POV
this morning i woke up flustered and excited as i scattered through all my cloths in attempt to find the perfect outfit for my ( i think ) date with ross. he seems like the guy who would take me to a chill burger place but also seems like the guy who would take me out to a fancy restaurant. ross is so unpredictable.

i kinda dig it.

i finally found my perfect outfit. i went with the more casual theme. turning on the shower water, i hummed the lyrics to my favorite songs and let ross linger in my mind.

when i got out of the shower, i straightened my hair and did my makeup. i put a little extra on just for today's occasion.
i patted my puppy on his head and said "bye buddy! wish me luck!" yeah yeah. i know its pathetic to talk to your dog but i don't really care.
on my way to the park, my mind began to rampage me with thoughts like...

what if this goes horrible?
what of i'm dressed wrong?
what if he ends up being a dick?

before i could answer any of these thoughts, i heard the familiar voice that i had been waiting to hear since 2am this morning. ross's.
"hey." he beamed down at me.
"hey." i said back, flustered by the fact that he had put his arm around me.
"are you ready?" he asked, looking down into my eyes.
"yep." i grinned like a maniac. he opened up his car door for me.
"after you my lady." ross did a funny bow thing and i giggled.
"why thank you fine sir." i said before he laughed and jogged to the drivers side. when we pulled up to our lunch destination, i froze. we were at benny's. it was my favorite hot dog stand ever. my older brothers and i would always go with my parents when we were younger. i absolutely love it. as i stared in awe, ross started to speak.
"i know its nothing special, but its my favorite place to eat at." he scratched the back of his neck nervously and i looked at him with wide eyes.
"no ross. i love this place. really, i do." i don't know why i felt the need to reassure him that i liked his lunch choice, but it was probably because i simply wanted him to know that i liked it.
ross asked me what i wanted and ordered it for me. i obviously offered to pay. however he insisted. we sat down with our food and began eating and engaging in conversation.

one hour later***
" no way!" i shouted. "you never did that!"
"i did! i swear." he said, taking a bite out of a french fri.
"there is no way you and your siblings snuck out and drove all the way to Arizona when you were only ten!"
"we did! seriously." he said laughing.

and there we were. two kids in a booth with absolutely nothing better to do than enjoy each other's company and fall in love.
