This house is going to be beautiful" mom said,I just ignored her and drowned the sound of her voice  out with music while staring out the smudged up foggy window counting all the pine trees we passed  about five-hundred ninety four, there green leaves over bearing the surface of the world, from what I counted 'yep we're in the middle of nowhere' I thought to myself .Finally after a long lasting hour we were there. I took off my black zipper themed earbuds, and told the twins, "this home  is so cheap because the Boogey man lives here!" I said that jokingly but they actually screamed in terror.

We pulled into the driveway the wheels screeched as we turned in, ' we're here' my mom said in a cheerful voice and she parked the car. I unplugged the earbuds and stuck them in jean pocket along with my phone and jumped out of the car opening the van door. As soon as my feet hit the ground leaves crunched beneath me startling me at first. All the leaves on the trees were forming new colors and falling to the concrete. I turned around and looked up, it was a beauteous house although I'd never admit that to my mother, it was quite grand and I had to look up to see the whole house. It was a soft yellow shade and was shaped like a castle with a front pillar and a house like shape attached to it. There were windows every few feet with white panels and a white roofing with swirled trim. The twins and I followed my mother to the door the work crackling under us.

Mom fiddled with the door while I stared at the swampy green lake in front of me , moss filled the watery void, it felt like I could see my soul staring at me,glimmering in the distant waters. Finally after a push the door opened with a loud, haunting creek. we walked inside slowly foot after foot I stared at the steps I took as a walked in, the floor boards echoed as I stepped on each one. The house had wooden stained floors with little knots in the stairs, floors, everything. It  smelt mildewey and dusty, kind of like grandma. It was to the point where it was almost unbearable.

I went up the creaking stairs to find a room while the twins ran around. I held on to the handle bar with a tight grip and pushed myself up the stairs. When I got up the carpet was a tan beige color and almost pristine barely any stains. The curtains were Lacey and elegant as they fell on the windows seals . I could sort of see the sun glowing through the lace finally brightening this awful day. I found a plain room with a white dresser and ripped curtains. I entered it and decided it was fit for me, it was spacious and had a bay window perfect for reading. I set my phone on the dresser and went out to find the twins. I had no luck so I headed upstairs back to my room . My  phone had fallen on the floor . As I crouched down to pick it up and I had a vision of a young girl maybe early 20's wearing a white dress made of silk with long lace sleeves hanging morbidly by a nouce outside this house on the tree!! I fell backward gasping heavily for breath. I just kept that to myself I decided not to tell anyone it was probably simply my imagination. I don't want to seem crazy after all  so I  just shrugged it off. I decided to take a tour of this house and get my mind of things and quickly recoup.
