I watched Emery as he scribbled away in his private notebook. He never goes anywhere without it.

The annoying thing is I'm not allowed to look in it! 😫

Whenever he is doing whatever he does in that book, he always has a weird 'concentration' face, eyebrows furrowed, eyes like slits and lips pierced.

'Whatcha doing?', he looked up from under his dark eyelashes.

A smirk slipped on his face, 'You know very well that I won't tell you Jessie, it's private, confidential, personal, compredende?'.

I nodded my head in response, after a few minutes of twiddling my thumbs I craned my neck to try and peer into what he's doing. He obviously caught on to this and slammed his book shut.

'Dude he is not going to let you look in there, might as well give up'.

'If everyone gave up in life where would we be Jake?!'.

He pierced his lips as though he was in a deep thought, 'On our knees being ruled by alien overlords'. He looked satisfied with his answer.

I flipped him off when I heard my mum shout.

'Boys? Alex his here, please come down and introduce yourselves', it was surprising how fake she sounded. She's trying to make a good impression but over doing it a bit.

'Jess come on', I groaned, not wanting to move.

'Jessie what is the big deal? You honestly act like two different people sometimes, one minute your my cool fun brother, next your the confident bad ass dick. Pick one! Now stop being a baby and come downstairs.

I glared at him, he faltered a little but kept his posture. He returned my daggers.

'It's not like he's going to be a complete dick and even if he is it doesn't mean you have to actually talk to him and become best buds. No ones going to force you to like the guy, but hey you never know you might actually get on really well with him, maybe even become friends. But if you don't remember, I will remind you that mum needs the money, were doing this so we can carry on living so just smile for her ok? It's not liking your selling your body!!! Haha wait maybe you will'.

I punched him in the arm , 'Well thanks for the pep talk', I laughed sarcastically.

'That was deep Ems, made me tear up a little'. Jake said after, faking crying.

'I try', Emery answered with his crooked smile.

We all stumbled down the stairs Emery in front of me and Jake behind.

'Emery, Jessie oh and Jake this is Alexandra'.

Alexandra is a funny name for a dud- WAIT A MINUTE.....That's a girls name...that means 0_0

I looked at the figure in the doorway, my breath caught in my throat and for one moment I think I forgot how to breath.

I never act like this...

Before me stood the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, her piercing grey eyes burned into my ocean-blue ones and her full pink lips curled into a small, warm smile. Her cheek bones lifted enhancing a few light freckles she had, which just made her look so much more stunning.
