Alex's POV

'If you do something for me...' The way he said that, dark and deep made chills run up my spine.

I tried to sound confident, 'And what would that something be?' I asked slyly.

He walked painfully slowly towards me...I felt my heart speed up in my chest as I backed away, only to find myself pressed against the wall.

'Why are you home from school so early?' I asked changing the subject.

'Skipped'. He smirked.

'Wow we got a badass over here!'.

'You love it', he said trying to heat things up, he just loves playing games. Only met this boy a few days ago and he already has me going insane!

He closed the small gap between us, feeling suffocated, I tried my best to sink into the wall. Wow...why does this boy have such an effect on me! He's patronising, inappropriate and a complete douche!

He stalked closer...I smelt his minty breath, everything about him was intoxicating. Suddenly thoughts of Emery came flooding back, our almost kiss. My confused feelings for him...

A knocking on the door brought me back to reality and I shoved Jessie back making him stumble. 'Jessie baby open up!', a disturbingly nasally voice flooded into the room.

'Come in Steph', a blonde and very attractive girl came in. Sporting very tight snow washed jeans and a yellow crop top. 'Hey babe!' She said flinging herself at him, pulling him into a heated kiss.

Then turning to be a crazy ass smile appeared on her face. 'Who's she baby?', her cheery tone dripping with venom.

'Oh that's just Alex'. Just Alex? Is that all he thinks of me? How can I be so stupid to think he actually might be interested in me. Well no more being naïve, I'm done playing his stupid game...

An awkward tension hung in the air, a fake smile was plastered on Stephanie's face, while Jessie probably had no clue how uncomfortable I felt.

'Well I'm going to leave you guys alone'. I said a bit too quickly, whilst backing out the door. Jogging down the stairs, Cassie was sat at the small oak table in the kitchen.

'Hi Cassie', I said sitting opposite her. 'Your home?', she worked away a lot, I hadn't really seen her over the past few days.

'Hi sweetie! Do you want something to eat?', she said standing up.

'No I'm fine thanks, I was thinking about going out tonight, ya know look around the town and get something to eat out there'.

'That sounds like a good idea! But even though your not my daughter, I wouldn't suggest going on your own, maybe take Jessie or Emery with you?'.

'Yeah sure I'll ask later'.

'So?' She said after a few silent moments, 'how's school? Made any friends?'. She's making it sound like I'm a child.

'Fine, getting used to it over here'.

'Alex?', she said, her tone getting monotonous. 'Why did u move over here?'.

My smile dropped instantly, 'Just wanted to try something new'.

'Are your going home to visit your parents in the summer, or are they coming here?'.

'They won't be coming, can we not talking about it'. I said catching my throat.

Her eyes flashed with panic, 'okay, sorry I didn't mean to pry'.

'Its ok, just leave it'.

'Im sorry aga-'.

'leave it!!!' I said a bit more harshly than I intended to.

Having enough of this, I got up and walked up the stairs. 'Knock, knock'.

'Jessie, stop making out, I need to come in'.

'Come on in'. He said, slowly, I opened the door to see Jessie sprawled on the bed with his little hoar curled up to him. They both looked a little flustered and Jessie's hair was tousled.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed some black skinnies and a purple top and headed for the bathroom.

'Im gunna take a shower'. I mumbled before locking the door. Pealing my dirty day clothes off I stepped into the shower and let the water cascade down my body. I lathered up, washed off and grabbed my fluffy towel.

'Shit', I cursed under my breath, how could I forget a bra. I unlocked the door and peaked my head around the corner. No one in sight...

I rushed over to my drawers and sprinted back to the bathroom... I slammed the door and pressed my back to it. Heavily I breathed, relief flooding over me. Why am I so panicked?! Not like He's going to corner and rape me!!!

He's messing with my head!

Pushing the thoughts out of my head, I got dressed, ran a brush through my hair and re-applied some makeup.

Maybe I should ask Emery to go with me? Yeah better him than Jessie.
