Cecilia looked out of her window. The leaves from the maple trees blew around the campus, and there were few girls out on the sidewalk, save the hardy souled joggers, the maids and attendants, and clients taking a tour.
“Tighter?” Analyse tugged at her hair. “Sorry, I can't french braid as well as you.”
“No worries. Yeah, try a little tighter.”
Cecilia wore that pretty vintage white lace dress her mother gave her and lacquered red lipstick that made her pale white skin and jet black hair more prominent.
Tonight the Haven boys were coming for dinner. They came every month, but it wasn't enough for her.
Those boys were catalog-worthy male models. And they always come dressed as their best.
Analyse wore a delicate black high-low dress and red stilettos. She straightened her beautiful high-lighted hair.
She ran her fingers through the braid and undid it.
“Why d'you destroy it?” Cecilia laughed.
“It was too ugly for the Haven guys to see,” Analyse blushed.
“What's too ugly for the boys to see?”
A musical voice filled with harmony and bells spoke from the doorway. It was Vanessa, looking beautiful as always. Her bouncy hair looked soft and perfect, and her figure was very slender and graceful looking.
She looked at Analyse with a lovely smile.
“My ugly french braid.”
“Oh. Well it's not as ugly as Ms. New Girl,” Vanessa winked.
Cecilia suppressed a soft giggle. Then she looked Vanessa up and down.
“You're not going to the dinner with the boys?”
Vanessa slowly shook her head, as if not regretting what she was about to do.
“Where are you going for dinner then?” Cecilia asked.
Vanessa shrugged and laughed, the sound of bells filling the room.
“Well,” she said blushing, “I'll see you guys around.”
They heard her boots walking down the hall and going down the stairs, as if anticipating something special.
“Is she going on a date or something?” Cecilia asked.
“I don't think so. She hasn't really told me of a particular guy. Not yet, at least.”
“Oh.”
“Hey are you guys ready?”
Amelia called from down the hall. She walked over to their room and blew out air.
She looked stunning in her tight pink lace wrap dress and beige heels. Her dark hair was curled and she put on eyeliner.
“Yeah, we're coming,” Analyse said, standing up and fixing her dress. Cecilia got up too and followed them out.
“What the heck took you guys so long?” Amelia said smiling. “The boys are downstairs waiting for you.”
