Can you hear my Heart beating?

"Everything is fine."- Elijah heard Bonnie saying as she opened the door of the apartment letting her boyfriend in.

"You look shattered"- Fred said-"are they still-"

"Yes, they are still in there."- Bonnie replied referring to Elena and Elijah.

"Are you sure he has not"-

"I checked. Elena is asleep"- the witch said.

"Ok. Here- I got you double mocha with whipped cream and bagels for Elena and pancakes for you with blueberries"

"Thanks. Yana?"

"She is in school. I am going to work. See you later?"

Bonnie nodded and then gave him a little kiss. The man then left. As she went to the kitchen to plate up the breakfast, Elijah appeared on the door biding the witch good morning.

"Morning"- Bonnie said asking him then how he was doing.

"Better."- Elijah said-"Thank you. And I want to apologize to you personally, regarding your mother."

Bonnie looked at the Original making a little nod acknowledging his apology. She then  added- "If I see that you can't deal - I will compel you back."

"You hold all the witch Ayana's magic now?"- Elijah asked.

"More than that. This is not a threat- I just want you to know that I can kill an Original or a hybrid now- without needing a celestial event."

"I know you did this for Elena."- Elijah said.

"Well, yeah. I am not going to deny it."- Bonnie sighed a little and then said-"on the day of the ritual, before you took her away to the caves, she had asked me to save you, to do something. But- well- you know- how things went. Anyway, you said it- what is done is done. We have all been through so much. I got a family now, and I know how it feels. If they would come to any kind of harm, I don't know what I would do. But we have to stop and think before we take drastic actions."- he witch paused for a second and then continued-"Elena deserves to be happy- and it's like there is this something that doesn't let her be happy."

"What happened to Damon?"- Elijah now asked.

"He had Huntington's. It's inherited."

"I know what it is"- Elijah said-"it results in death of brain cells. There is no cure."

"No. Damon decided to kill himself. He crashed the car into a tree full speed. That was eight years ago."

Elijah moved with his head a little as he now heard that Elena was awake. She called out his name and he went to her followed by Bonnie. 

As they got to the room, the doppelganger was already on her phone to the hospital as she checked out her messages. As she finished the conversation with one of the colleagues, she turned to the witch and the Original.

"I am sorry, but I have to go to the hospital."- but she took a moment to ask Elijah how he was. He gave her the same reply as he had given it to Bonnie earlier. 

"I hate to go, but they need me."- Elena said regretfully.

"You do not have to stay on my account."- Elijah said-"I have to go myself."

"Yeah"- she just slipped as her eyes beamed at him later. Elijah nodded and swished out of the apartment. 

"I am going too"- Bonnie then said-"we will talk later."
