Ch Two

 Who are You?

"My name is Hikaru Aki. I am," You took a sigh, "A mess.

"Today, I'll will try to be at least... a little organized," You smiled at yourself while talking to yourself in the bathroom mirror. You hoped with all your might that soon, you will be normal. You were boring. You had no talents, no unique personality, and absolutely no care for anyone.

Closing the door to Dominic's house, you breathed in.

And instantly regretted it, because the alley way stank of smoke.

"Hey," Dominic grabbed your arm, "You slept for a while. Were you up late or something?" Dominic is your boyfriend, someone you relied on. He's always on your back about little things. Not very trustworthy or well-rounded, but hey, he keeps you alive.

"In a way, I guess," You dropped the subject. You didn't want to go any further.

Living in the slums is kind of like breathing in garbage. That's on fire. And is covered in dog shit. If you had a diamond every time something good happened to you in here, you would still be here since you have no diamonds. This is the epitome of disgusting.

"Yo, Aki. I have errands for you." Dominic put his hand out and bowed. Your stupid, cute boyfriend.

"Sure, what is it? You want me to go downtown and beg for money? Sell my kidney to that guy in the rags?" You retorted, trying to be optimistic despite you not really wanting to go.

"You could do that too," He snorted, "But what I really need you to do is go down to that market and get me some sleeping pills."

"But that's... expensive," You eyed him curiously. That was out of your budget. 

"Exactly. Do what you do best, honey. Take it and act normal. If you get caught, run like hell," Dominic's country accent kicked in.

Another thieving errand. You're not the biggest fan, but you are good at what you do.

You sighed, "Fine."

And that's what you did. You went to the market, smiled at the angsty cashier, took the meds, and walked straight out. Easy as taking personal belongings from a cadaver.

On my way back, I ran into something. Something tall and breathing.

"Oh, hello!"
