Ch Eleven - I'd Like To Die With You.

You were sitting on your couch, watching static. You had absolutely no motivation, or anything to do. Everything just seemed... Bland. As if you've done it a thousand times. Your flowers were wilting and your water was warm. You can't heal a flower with warm water, just as you can't heal a heart with bandages.

You got up, turned the television off, and went to your kitchen. Opening the fridge only to close it. You knew what was in there, but you kept checking. Just in case. (Or if you all of a sudden crave something)

You were almost a sleepwalker. But this time, half alive, half awake. All of a sudden, life felt so hard to carry.

Like a burden.

You heard a noise, the sound of a bike going by.

A bike? Who the hell rides a bike in an alley like this?

Well, you can't really drive a car through.

But why would anyone go through the alley anyway?

Could it be him?

No..

No?

You heard a knock on your door.

You didn't bother saying anything, so they just came inside.

"Hey, hermit."

You looked up, with your dead, broken eyes.

"Ko."

"Short time, no see. You've got something to tell me."

You looked at him with interest.

"Oh?"

"Who killed your mother and why did your father leave?" He said, so suddenly. You felt like you had been hit in the face.

You took a step back, and thought for a moment.

Should I really tell him?

I trust him, but he could always turn on me and tell.

"My..... father did. He ran away somewhere because he didn't want to be caught. My ma was always on his back. I'm not sure why, I just remember them yelling all the time. He got sick and tired of it... I saw it. God, and I'll never forget it......"

"He stabbed her. That's what I saw. And then I looked away."

"Satisfied?"

You gave him a sad smile, gripping at the skin on your arm.

He looked at you with the same smile, eyebrows low, sad.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I have to get over it. But this stupid brain of mine keeps replaying the scene over and over again. It's making my life a living hell."

"Well, can I stay awhile?" He looked at the floor, then back at you.

"It won't be fun," You retorted.

"It doesn't have to be fun."

"Alright, if you really want to." You moved over so he could sit down, but he instead started looking around.

He walked over to your radio, turned it on, and started flipping through stations. Most were static, and the ones that came through weren't very good. He came upon a good classical music station, playing a nice, moving piece.

He started swaying to it, subtly. You couldn't recognize the piece, since you never really listened to classical music. He looked at you and nudged his head, signing to you to come over to him. You got up, and walked next to him. You raised a brow, as if saying 'what now?'

He took your hand and swayed with you. Not dancing, just slow moving. It felt nice. You put your hand on his shoulder.

Even though the music wasn't progressing, the both of you seemed to be. With his other hand, he held it right above your hip, as if you were both ballroom dancing. You pressed more to him, sort of leaning into him. He started leading the two of you into a triangle motion, which could be considered dancing.

You put your head on his shoulder, putting your hand around his back. Again, you were just swaying, now that you were fully leaning into him. You could feel his hair on you.

After what felt like only a moment, but might've been more, you looked at him again, still swaying. He smiled at you, lovingly. You felt a need, and you indulged in it. You moved toward his mouth and your lips both met in a final kiss.

"I'm in love with you, Aki."

"I...... I'm in love with you too. I love you. Yeah." You were taken aback, yet excited. Your heart throbbed.

You both held each other by the neck, and met in for another kiss.

It went silent for a while, the both of you laying on each other standing up, enjoying the company.

"Aki, I still have one question."

"What?" You moved a bit.

"Do you like gardening?"

You looked at him, deeply. Not because he had just found out your secret, but this was a very intimate moment.

"Yes, I do. I love all things with plant life."

"Aki, you're the Ultimate Botanist."

You looked at him, eyes wide with amazement.

"Really? How... How did you know? This is great news!" You were now upright and standing by yourself, holding onto him in happiness.

"Let's just say I have a few tricks up my sleeve." He spoke slyly.

"Wow, I..." You grabbed his hand and held it in front of him, "I'm so happy right now.."

He grabbed your hand, with his other hand, and kissed it. "Aki, will you be my lover?" You looked at him, noticing his eyes, full of hope.

With every ounce of honesty, you said, "Yes!!!" You were cheery and your heart was thumping.

He smiled the biggest, brightest, most wonderful smile you've ever seen out of him. You could tell he was as excited as a child on Christmas.

"So this is what all my bad luck has been piling up for. You." He held your hand softly, and pecked your cheek  softly.

And since, it was a miracle how, it was a happy freaking ending.
