Harry had tossed and turned for most of the night. Hermoine continued to look worse and worse each day when he visited her, and the haunting images in his mind refused to let him rest. He had resolved with himself that he would get no sleep this night, wishing he was like the little red head next to him dreaming peacefully. He never understood the Weasley's knack for sleeping anywhere, at any time but he was thankful Ginny at least was getting some rest.

The sun just had begun to peak through the drawn bed curtains of the four poster when a resounding knock came at the front stoop of Grimmauld Place. Ginny woke with a start, hurling a curse at the bed room door without blinking, stunned at the loud noise. The door burst into flames only to be put out a moment later by Harry who was putting on pants.

"Go back to bed love, I've got it. Remind me to never wake you up... ever," he mumbled bleary eyed as he made for the stairs.

Harry opened the door with a stomach full of dread as Snape's face came into view. Surely Hermoine hadn't gotten worse in the night?

Wham!

Snape sucker punched Harry straight to the jaw, leveling him to the ancient carpet of the front entry.

"Why in bloody hell did you not tell me you had been bitten by Nagini?" Snape roared, wand digging into Harry's neck.

"Merlin Professor! It was before her venom was cursed by Voldemort. The make up was entirely different then I imagined. Hermoine saved me, I was damn near unconscious. I couldn't remember what she used to fix me up."

"You stupid boy! The Chosen One my arse. If she hadn't written it down she really might've died. I need to know where she got her potion stores from. I know she stole most of them from my private stores, but the Dittany, where did she buy the Dittany? "

Harry sat on his haunches in the foyer, his black eye beginning to swell as he thought. Suddenly realization struck him.

"George! George uses it in his Ten Second Pimple Vanishers I think. I remember Hermoine being mad at him because the Dittany was giving the his test subjects terrible scars."

Snape's cloak billowed behind him as he twirled, and with a pop, he was gone.

"Blimey hell Harry," Ginny muttered under her breath as she watched from the doorway to the kitchen.

"Why didn't you say something to him about getting bit by that damned snake? Serves you right, the shiner. The poor man's so lovesick he'd murder just to get the chance to wake Hermoine up."

Her pink bathrobe swished as she turned toward her full English waiting on the stove, Harry's mouth agape as he registered her words.

"He loves her? What the hell? Come back here woman!" could be heard spluttering from the poor wizards mouth, as he chased after his fiancé into the kitchen.

The hall doors of the hospital wing slammed open with full force, scaring the many visitors who sat solemnly around Hermoine's bed. Madam Pomfrey shrieked, sending a potions bottle hurtling off her tray. Snape caught it with a flick of his wand, hovering the small bottle to its rightful place on the tray.
