I walked out of my room, passed the living room, and into the kitchen. I got the pan and pancake mix to begin making pancakes.

After ten minutes, I put the pancakes on a plate and set them down on my table.

"Daeil!" I heard him walking towards the kitchen, "You have a nice house, Lauren."

"Thank you, I worked hard for it."

He sat down and began eating the pancakes. "Aren't you going to eat?"

"No, I don't usually eat breakfast."

He just nodded and we sat there at the table in an awkward silence.

He coughed, "So, where are you parents? I mean you live in a pretty big house, and it has like three bedrooms."

"Oh, well my mom lives on her own but I have a room for her just incase she visits."

Daeil stuffed a pancake in his mouth and nodded, "Wha-"

"Don't talk when your mouth is full."

"Sorry."

He finished eating and I smiled, "What were you going to say earlier?"

"Oh yeah! What about your dad?"

My eyes dropped down to the table, "We don't talk about him."

"Why?"

I took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes, "He did something bad."

"Oh."

I got up and started washing Daeil's plate.

While I was washing his plate, I heard footsteps come behind me.

"Hey Lauren," I heard a voice behind me.

"Daeil, what are you doing?"

"Turn around."

I turned, my face was inches away from Daeil's. I gulped, "What?"

He was silent for awhile. "Hello? Earth to Daeil!"

He smiled, "You have pretty eyes."

I felt my cheeks get hot, "Oh, thank you."

Daeil laughed, "You're so cute."

I turned around to face the sink again, "Dry off the plate, please."

"Okay mother."

"Hey! Don't ever call me that!"

He laughed, "Okay Okay."

I turned on my heels and headed for my room, "If you need anything, I'll be in my room."

I walked into my room and noticed the pictures that were on my shelf.

One picture stuck out to me the most, it was the one with my parents and I.

My dad had his arm around my shoulders, "I can't believe I let someone like him touch me."

I felt tears slide down my face.

"Hey Laur-"

Quickly, I wiped my tears, "Uh yes?"

Daeil was standing at the doorway, he noticed something was wrong and walked towards me.

"We're you crying?"

I turned to him, "N-No."

Daeil looked at me with concern and hugged me.

My eyes went wide while I just stood there with his arms around me.

"Are you okay?"

I hugged him back, "No, I'm not okay, Daeil."

Tears were falling so fast, I wasn't able to hold it in any longer.

"He hurt me, Daeil."

"Let it out," he said while rubbing my back.

I held Daeil tightly and felt my walls crashing down.

"It's okay, Lauren, I'm here."

He pulled away from the hug and wiped the tears from my face, "I'm here now."

I sniffled and said, "Thank you."

He put his hand on my cheek and smiled, "We should go and do something today.

All of a sudden, his face lit up, "I have an idea! Let's go to an amusement park!"
