Chapter 8

May: yeah good job!
Now onto the chapter!

The seven of eight friends were just leaving the school when Tikki noticed that Lila was missing.

"Guys, Lila never came back." Tikki stated as they had just gotten out the door. She revived a few confused looks as well as curious looks. To respond to the confusion and curiosity she then followed up with. "She had left early on with no explanation at all as to why she was leaving and then when I ran out the door to catch up to her and she was just running and turning the far corner and disappeared."

"I thought Lila was with us the whole time... I remember her being there." Adrien responded.

"Yeah she did come back cause I remembered the part you just said and then I remember her coming back into the classroom. She was talking with us." Marinette added to Adrien's point.

"Yeah she had started the joke about Adrien not paying attention." Plagg agreed.

"Yeah I remember that. But she's gone now so where did she go?" Layla asked.

"Hey guys! Sorry I forgot my bag in my locker!" <Lila> said as she ran over to the group.

"Oh we were just wondering where you went." Tikki said as she noticed a small dark aura around her but brushed it off since no one else noticed.

"Yeah I just forgot my bag. Sorry." <Lila> said as she rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment similar to when Adrien does.

"Hey Tikki I recognize that look and behaviour of yours. Are you okay?" Gigi whispered to Tikki as the six others started walking away to who knows where.

"No actually I'm not. Since you know me so well would you believe me if I told you I felt something was off with Lila?" Tikki asked.

"Of course I would she's my holder I feel it too. Like that's her but I can also feel she's somewhere else. Somewhere that isn't here and I can't track her to. Though I can get a general sense. I feel as though it's around here." Gigi responded sort of surprising Tikki.

"You feel it too?"

"Yeah there's something off about her. But I just can't pin it."

"It seems as though she's got everyone else convinced she's back but I don't buy it." Tikki said as the two started following the six but at a distance.

"Let's just go with it and we'll see what she's planning." Gigi said quietly as they started walking in silence.

*Back with Lila*

Though the voice seemed unpleasant, Lila couldn't help but believe it. She wanted to know what the voice was talking about when it mentioned that Mari took something from it.

The thoughts of trying to figure out why Mari had took something left her mind as she thought of escaping. "You know, if your still there, my friends will get me out of here. I know it. They'll notice I'm gone and look for me."

"Oh really now? Would they?" The voice said as a bubble appeared showing the seven of them with a substitute Lila. "It doesn't seem like your little friends notice a difference between you and the fake."

"They'll notice! There'll be a slip up! They'll find me!" Lila said upset with tears threatening to spill. "Gigi will be able to tell! I'm her holder! She'll notice!" Lila then immediately covered her mouth and her eyes went wide as to what she just said.

"What was that child? Holder? So you are a miraculous holder. I wondered about that." The voice said and even though Lila couldn't see who it was she could tell it was smirking.

"So what now? You know I'm a holder. What are you gonna do about it?" Lila asked sassing the voice.

"Well I'll use it to my advantage of course. There still have to be patrols and times when 'Lila' needs to transform. So I'll just take over her mind then. But for now I'll have that." The voice said as a shadow flew over to Lila and took her pendant off her necklace. "Hey! Give that back!" Lila said reaching her hand through the bars.

"But my dear, why would I give it back to you? When Gigi ends up trapped here I don't want you transforming on me now do I?" The voice said as Lila watch her pendant float away from her towards a pedestal. The glass that was on the pedestal lifted up and the pendant was placed below it. "I have no way to destroy this yet so for now it will stay right here under special glass." The voice said quietly and mostly to itself.

"Are you gonna kidnap all my friends?" Lila asked wanting her pendant. "Or are me and Gigi just special?"

"Of course your special but I am going to kidnap all of your friends besides Marinette. Besides it would be a more sweet revenge if her 'best friends' turned on her." The voice said as Lila could tell it was smirking again. "Oh but you probably already figured that out didn't you? You smart little human."

"What makes you think I'm so smart?" Lila asked now confused.

"Well the fox miraculous is meant for the most cunning of the holders. Same like the ladybug miraculous is meant for the most creative, the bee miraculous is meant for the best leader and the black cat miraculous is meant for destructive. Each holder is the holder of a specific miraculous for a reason." The voice explained now sounding more human. Almost as if it was replicating someone else's voice someone who was just escaping Lila's mind.

"Then what about the butterfly miraculous or the peacock miraculous? What does the hero have to be like to possess those ones?" Lila asked now aware of her own intellect.

"My dear to possess the butterfly miraculous you can't be any hero. As it goes the most gentle of us end up being the most villainous. And for the peacock miraculous the most generous. Though it doesn't sound like either make sense, trust me when I say they are meant to be opposites."

"Why would there be a miraculous for evil?"

"Because the universe needs balance for light there must be dark and the reason for only one is because of the butterflies ability to make akumas. I find that it always pains the masters of the miraculous to have to choose one person to take on this role. Especially since it darkens their soul." The voice explained.

"So miraculous are purposely made to balance out the universe?" Lila asked.

"Precisely my dear. So now that we got that out of the way... Would you like a bed? Since you'll be here a while and there is no way that the ground can be comfy." The voice said suddenly turning the conversation around and having a much lighter tone making the room seem less unpleasant.

"W-what? Weren't we just talking about the miraculous and my friends why did you think of that now?" Lila asked.

"We mustn't dewell on what hasn't happened yet. So enjoy yourself you'll be here a while. Now would you like a bed?" The voice said completely moving them front the previous  topic and making a bed appear in the cage.

May: you know you said you would have the chapter out yesterday and now Wednesday you have it out and it's only half of the average chapter length? Dude you lost your touch

Yeah I know okay I'm running into a bit of writers block I'm also getting hecka distracted by literally everything else. Anyways I'm so so so sorry for the super late update and if something doesn't make sense please let me know I need an editor if someone would offer. Anyways I hope you all enjoyed this chapter I'll hopefully have more of a chapter next Monday but until then I'll see you later! Byeeeee!!!!!!
