On a Thursday afternoon, I was sitting on a pool chair in my backyard texting my friends.
"Hey sweetie you don't mind being here on your own? Do you?" My dad asked fixing his tie
"Yes dad I'm perfectly fine" I said looking up from my screen to see him struggling with his tie "here let me help you" I said getting and undoing the messy tie, to make it look more nicer
"Thanks hun, I'll be back before midnight" he said checking out the nice tie "you should teach me how tie this" he said with a smile
I shake my head softly "Oh dad! Can Kira come over?" I asked with a pleasing smile "Yes she can" he said grabbing his keys and fixing his jacket "have fun with Jen!" I yelled out "alright" he headed out.
My dad has been seeing Jen for the past year and a half, I haven't met her yet, when that day comes I'll be super nervous
I don't know why though, I just have to be myself and don't say anything stupid ...
I had so many thoughts of how bad this dinner would turn out, but soon they were cut off by my phone going off
I see "♡Kira♡" was calling me "Yello" I said "ayeo" I laughed "what's going on" she asked "Well my dad left for his Thursday date with Jen" "Really wow, I can't believe it's been a year already" she said "i know right" I said getting up and going inside
"So when are you gonna meet her?" Kira asked "uhm this Saturday" I said grabbing some grapes from the fridge
"Are you excited?" "Eh somewhat between excited and nervous, but I think I'll be okay" I said putting a grape in my mouth
"Well maybe your dad found the one" Kira said "yeah maybe... so my dad said you can come over"
"Alright, hey you wanna go to the beach?" she asked
"Sure just let me change to my bathing suit" I said putting the grape bag away in the fridge
"Text me when you're here" I said going through my dresser looking for my bathing suit
"Kay" she said before hanging up.
I changed into my bathing suit ⬇⬇

I throw my sundress over my bikini, and slipped on my laced flats
I grabbed my house key, and my phone, I bobbed my head a little to make my sunglasses fall on the bridge of my nose and smiled at my reflection
I headed out, and walked to the beach
I was checking out the little sights of LA. It was genuinely beautiful, I love the little surroundings.
I made it to the beach and I spot Kira sitting on her towel laid across the sand, with her eyes on her phone... as usual haha
I made my way to where she was sitting "Hey gal!" she looked up and that small quirky smile appeared "Galllll" she said as I sit down on the towel.
