Steph's POV

I walk into the school library getting ready for snake break. As I sit down at my regular table where I am usually alone someone sits across from me. I don't look up at whoever it is but I start to do my work. The person then said

random person: So what you're just going to ignore me

I recognize the voice and glare up at him.

Steph: What are you doing here?!?
Diego: I go to school here babe
Steph: Don't call me that!
Diego: Too bad babe

I get up and walk away annoyed. As the day goes on i'm having an okay day. Later I get called down to the principals office very confused why i'm there. Then my brother Clay gets called down too.

Secretary: Hello Ms.Cee and Mr.Cee
Steph: hello
Clay: hi
Secretary: I would just like to inform both of you that you will be going home with mrs.leanos

Immediately I recognize the last name.
It's Diego's...
As we continue the day everyone gets separated by their grades for an assembly. One side for Freshman and Sophomore's. The other is Junior's and Seniors. Clay is a Freshman so he sat on the other side, but Diego is a Senior and I am a Junior. I sit down in my seat. As I look around for friends I see Diego looking for a seat. I try to hide, but i'm too late. He sat down right next to me.

Diego: Hey beautiful
Steph: Don't call me that
Diego: I'm just stating something obvious
Steph: Whatever

We are told at the assembly that there will now be clubs in the school. Every club set up a booth and we had to go to each one and choose clubs we wanted to be in.

One thing no one really knew about me is i'm kind of a photography nerd so I joined Photography Club. The first day was today so that gave me an excuse not to have to go to Diego's house.

•2:26 p.m.
The bell had just rung. That means school is over. I head to room 7 for Photography and as I walk in I see...

Diego

All the seats were taken but the one next to him. So I had no choice but to sit with him. It wasn't that bad..mostly because I didn't talk to him. At the end his mom came and picked him up, but made me go too.

Clay is on the football team so he stayed at school for practice.

When Diego and I got to the house we had to go to his room to do homework, but neither of us had homework. He sat in his bed and i sat on a spinning chair in his room.

Diego: Steph i'm sorry i'm such a fuckboy around you..i just..i..never mind
Steph: no tell me it's alright

I get up and sit next to him as i look him in his eyes. They are the perfect shade of green.

The type of green that gives you goosebumps because they are just so beautiful.

Diego: it's stupid..plus you'd think i'm weird

He put his hand gently on my knee as i am still looking in his eyes. Suddenly my heart beat starts getting faster and faster. I think i like him. i like him.

Steph: I promise i won't
Diego: I'll tell you later
Steph: Fine

As it gets later into the night we start to watch a movie. In the middle of the movie i get cold and he gives me one of his sweatshirts. Slowly he puts his arm around me and stares at me. I stare at him. He slowly starts coming closer and closer. I feel the heat from his breaths on my skin. His lips almost touch mine. Out of nowhere Clay comes in.

Clay: HEY GU...DIEGO GET THE FUCK OFF MY SISTER!
Diego: Shit sorry
Steph: Clay fuck off we were just watching a movie
Clay: THAT SLUT WAS ABOUT TI KISS YOU
Steph: DONT CALL HIM THAT
Clay: STEPHY YOU DONT KNOW HIM LIKE I DO! HES ASKED OUT EVERY GIRL IN SCHOOL
Steph: AND?! I DONT LIKE HIM WE ARE JUST FRIENDS!
Clay: WE ARE GOING HOME
Steph: NO IM STAYING HERE WITH MY FRIEND! YOU CANT CONTROL ME ASS WIPE!

As Clay gets fed up, he storms out and leaves.

Steph: Diego i'm so sorry
Diego: it's fine he is just looking out for his little sister
Steph: no it's not fine he shouldn't have said that stuff about you
Diego: well he was telling the truth..i've asked out a lot of girls at school..but it's because i'm afraid of dying alone and sad..i just want to find my soulmate and be happy with her forever..you know?
Steph: yea i get it plus i'm not going to judge you for your past
Diego: thanks

•Diego's POV

Steph fell asleep a while ago. She looks so beautiful. I wish i could tell her how much i actually like her. She's different from all the girls i've been with. But i know she doesn't like me.

She looks cold so i put a blanket over her. I don't know if she would be okay will me sleeping in the same bed as her so i grab a pillow and lie down on the floor.

•Steph's POV

I wake up as Diego gets a pillow and lays down. I look down at him and whisper "come back". He then he gets up and lays down next to me. He puts his arms around me and I turn to him and kiss his lips gently. We start making out. He covers me with the blanket anvil we fall asleep shortly after. His arms still wrapped around me and our lips touching.
