I dare you to close your eyes
And tell me what you see
You may say darkness, nothing, black
But that's not what I dared
To see something is not to see nothing
I see a million stars like the ones in the night sky twinkling
I see colours and shapes dancing and flashing in an elegant ballet
When I face the light, the black becomes orange and pink
I can see veiny rivers that twist turn and break
There's beauty there of which most miss or neglect
Nothing can be beautiful if you know where to look
For even nothing can be anything in the mind's eye
So I dare say again
close your eyes
And tell me what you see
