Should I Stay? (Slow Updates)

The air smelled cold when  I woke up  don't know if that makes any sense but it  just smelled like cold.

I jolted upright, remembering that Alexis had randomly knocked me out after we got in the car. I looked around noticing that I was in the same car as earlier. It was parked in front of a small little café that had small fake snowflakes in the window. There were only a few other cars around us in the parking lot. I tried to open my side of the  car but it was locked, all doors were locked. Suddenly the driver door open revealing Alexis with two steaming cups in her hands that smelled delicious. "Hey there, princess." She said while handing me one of the cups. I took it with a glare and took a sip of the most delicious hot chocolate I ever had.

"I'm sorry.." Alexa said while I enjoyed my cup of heaven. "For doing that earlier, I just couldn't have you seeing where we lived because I didn't want you to memorizing it to plot your escape. I couldn't risk you leaving me."  I stayed silent. In all honesty I couldn't blame her, it was pretty logical for a kidnapper. "Anyway I want to take you somewhere special. " She said in a more upbeat tone. Her posture straighten actually pressed a button that made it click  sound in the car. She open my door. "Come on, hop out." I reluctantly followed her out of the car, she pulled me forward and held my hand as she guided me to a pathway.  The pathway had a dark, imitating and  mysterious atmosphere, which I found to be intriguing. I loved it.

We walked in silence throughout the whole pathway. Suddenly Alexis stopped at a steep hill, I for one wasn't really an athlete and I think Alexis took notice of that because she suddenly laughed at my panting. Suddenly she walk up behind me and scooped me up in her arms bridal style and begin carry me down the hill. "I can walk you know." I said lightly panting. She looked down a me while she chuckled lightly and shook her head, then continued on the trail. Finally came to a stop at the bottom of the trail. She brought me down as I mumble a quite "Thank you." A few paces ahead of me was a waterfall, it was huge, loud and breathtaking. I ran ahead of Alexis into a open are that had been cleared for viewing and to the railing.

A cold mist fell on my cheeks. On the other side of the waterfall was just pure ice and snow. The ice looked like it was shooting down the side the rock, ready to impale something. I felt a hand placed itself on my hip, I looked up at Alexis. "I used to come here with my mom when I was little" Alexis said, there was a longing in her voice. I fumbled with my hands. "It's really pretty." I said softly. She looked down at me a smiled sadly at me and then turned back to the view in front of us. "It's even more beautiful in the spring." She said. "Usually in the  spring time... All the flowers and tress were blossom and the water would run freely. When my mom died, my visits became less frequent. I couldn't look at all the flowers and feel the warmth without her, it didn't feel right. So I started coming in winter because everything seems dull and cold.. just like me."  I felt a pang of sadness in my chest. That was so sad, yet so thoughtful. We stood in a comfortable moment of silence As we took in the scenery in peace. We stayed like this until it grow dark. The sky above us was littered with stars, making everything all the more beautiful.

Without a word, Alexis grabbed my hand gently leading me back to the trail and  to the car.  When we got into the car, she turned it on and back out beginning the dark drive back. She didn't bother knocking me out. I think she was too tired. We didn't say anything the whole drive back, it was comfortable silence. The headlights lit our path, the trees guided us, and  the stars kept the peace.
