A/N: Its been a while since I've re-read The Hunger Games Series so some things might be off..hehe..sorry guys :)

Y/N put on her black dress slowly. Her fingers shaking she zipped it up from behind and put her shoes on. 

They were matching black, small heels.

She touched them and smiled.

Her best-friend Peeta had given them to her on her birthday last year.

Oh Peeta

Peeta and her had been best friends since they had been little kids, running around the town.

But she had always felt more then just a friendship for Peeta.

A feeling in her heart.

The way her heart quickened whenever he took her in his arms.

The way her heart stopped every time he kissed her on the cheek.

She was deeply in love. No doubt.

But their lives together could never be possible yet.

Because of The Games.

Because of Katniss.

Tears coming to her eyes she shook off the painful memory.

The heart-breaking moment when Peeta confessed his love for Katniss

The tear-filled night when Katniss pressed her lips to Peeta. 

Shuddering, Y/N shook her head and fixed her hair. 

Looking at herself in the mirror she smiled nervously. Her H/C  hair was up in a braid. Peeta's favourite hairstyle.

Sighing she heard her mother shouting from the other end of the house.

"Y/N...WERE ARE YOU??!! WERE READY TO LEAVE!"she shouted

Y/N quickly placed a silver necklace onto her neck and hurried out of her room.

"Coming!" she called back.

It was time for Peeta's return.

Her heart was racing fast.

She didn't know what to say to him.

He had survived!!

He was alive.

Her heart was screaming but aching too.

He also now had a lover.

Katniss.

What would she say-? How should she react-?

She was so confused that she walked into somebody.

The force was so strong Y/N started to fall backwards when she felt a hand around her waist.

Blue eyes. Gale.

"hehe sorry Gale." Y/N said sheepishly

He forced a smile. It was fake, she could tell.

After he let her go she patted his arm.

"Katniss and Peeta? " she asked quietly 

He didn't answer but his expression darkened.

He opened his mouth to reply when shouting and cheering erupted.

The train. It was here.

Y/N stood by the wall.

Peeta was here.

He was in the same room.

And not once did he come to her.

Not once did he look towards her.

Y/N sighed. He was a changed person now. A survivor. Why would he care about her anymore?

She wiped a stray tear that had appeared from her E/C eyes.

After watching the crowd within the party slowly disappear as time passed, Y/N  she knew she had, had enough. He wasn't ever going to come to her. He had forgotten about her completely. 

Turning to go she took a step forward when a small voice interrupted her.

"Going without even saying hi to your best-friend??"

Y/N stopped and slowly turned around.

It was Peeta.

His cute smile with his tousled blonde hair.

"Peeta..I thought you..I thought-" she  stammered shyly.

He looked at her weirdly.

"You thought what-?" he asked.

Y/N shook her head and took a step forward.

"I thought..I thought you had forgotten a-abo-about me" she stammered more.

He looked shocked.

"WHY would you think I would ever forget about you?? You were the only person I thought about the whole time I was in the games!" he exploded 

Y/N's heart stopped.

"M..M..me?" she whispered

He strode forward and took her hands into his warm hands.

His eyes looked deeply into hers.

Y/N's heart started beating fast.

Maybe he does love me.

Maybe he does care for me.

"It was you that made me want to survive." he whispered gently.

Y/N didn't know what to say. Her heart was confused. Who did he really love?

Y/N looked down not saying anything at all.

Her or Katniss??

After a while he smiled.

"I don't love Katniss, if that's what your thinking"

You looked up your eyes shining.

"Wh..what?" Y/N whispered

"I love you." he whispered back.

Y/N's heart went reeling.

It was as if she was dreaming.

Afloat in her land of pleasure, happiness, love.

She was dreaming because then something happened which only happened in dreams.

Lips came gently into contact with hers. Warm hands gripped her face, stroking her cheek.

She froze.

What was happening?

The moment lasted only for seconds but it had seemed to her as if it had been for hours because~

~It was all just a dream.

- How was it??

I know, I know...boring me..ending it with a dream..haha
