(This is a continuation of 'The Piano Boy'. I'm editing it to make it the same length)
The Wise Girl hears him
The Piano Boy plays alone
Before everyone arrives
Like always
The Wise Girl opens the door silently
He's playing her song again
The Song he played on stage yesterday
Though that was just a dress rehersal
Even though he doesn't care for her
She saw the girls swarm over him
And saw the girl kiss him
In front of everyone
The Wise Girl hadn't cried
Not in front of the others
She couldn't
She couldn't show weakness
The Piano Boy looks up at her
He stops playing
"Hi." He whispers
He smiles at her
It melts her heart
"Hi." She whispered
After a pause, she says, "Don't stop playing for me."
She fakes a smile
The Piano Boy turns away
She hides her pain as he begins to play again
The Wise Girl sits on the floor, leaning against the Piano
She feels the vibrations in her spine
The Wise Girl closes to her eyes
She feels the music echo in her mind
Feels it radiate through her soul
The pain in her heart releases
A tear leaks from her eyes
The tear warms her cold face
Melting the cold shell she's felt since she was the girl kiss The Piano Boy
Breaking the shell around her heart
The music stops but
The Wise Girl doesn't open her eyes
A warm hand reaches out and touches her cheek
The Wise Girl looked up at The Piano Boy
"Why are you crying?"
His voice wakes her up
"Your music. It's beautiful." The Wise Girl whispers
It's not a lie, but it's not why she's crying
"You never cried before."
The Piano Boy is too smart to believe her
"It's nothing." The Wise Girl says
"Not to me, but okay." The Piano Boy draws away
The Wise Girl takes in a shaky breath
She will not beg for him to stay
She will not show how she feels
She will not loose control
"Please, Play again." The Wise Girl murmurs
"Which one?"
"The Piano." The Wise Girl whispers
The Piano Boy smiles, knowing it's her favorite
It's the one he played for her
It's his love song to her
Again
Now it's just them alone
They sit that way
Him on the bench, playing
Her on the floor, listening
They do not speak
Each hiding thier emotions
Unable to share how they felt
Both letting the music be thier voice
Though the others do not believe what they hear
Wise Girl does not see that he loves her
Doesn't hear it
For the bullies' taunts don't leave visible scars
The have shaken her confidence through the years
The Piano Boy think his love unrequeted
He thinks The Wise Girl must have someone else
Bright eyes in a pretty face are a dime a dozen
But kindness should never fade
They sit that way for a long while
Fot the others have forgotten
The others do not go to the large empty theatre for practice
Not even the teacher
The two lovers sit
Not speaking
Unable to utter words
For fear that thier tongue will betrey thier hearts
So they share this moment
Unspeaking
Letting the piano sing its heart out
As the two human hearts sit, heavily guarde
The Piano must say the words for them

PoezieJust a poem about a pair of insecure highschoolers, based on a story that I wrote and lost a while ago and the emotions I feel when listening to the theme song.
