(This is the fourth and final poem. Thanks for the support)
The Piano Boy sees her
The Wise Girl stands alone
No one is around
The stage is empty
The Piano Boy stares at her
She doesn't move towards him
But she doesn't pull away
She doesn't leave
The Piano Boy walks over
Slowly
He's afraid to frighten her
The Wise Girl might not speak to him again
"I......." He is unable to finish
"Will....."
The Piano Boy can't find the words
He has never had a problem with words before
The Wise Girl struggles as well
She is standing between the boy and the piano
But she is unable to move
She can't think anymore
"I can't sleep."
The Piano Boy's words startle her
"I dream of you.'
He whispers
The Wise Girl has never been silenced liek this before
She always has the answer
But she can't find the words to tell The Piano Boy what she feels
"You make me helpless." She whispers
One she gets started, she can't stop.
"You haut my dreams and my waking hours.
I love your music.
Your smile."
The Wise Girl can't seem to breath properly anymore
"Your laugh
Your way of making people comfortable around you.
You."
The Wise Girl's fear is gone.
"I love you.
Everything about you.
Even your crooked teeth."
The Piano Boy smiles
It lights up his face
His dark eyes seem to glisten
Like they hold stars
"I love you too." The Piano Boy speaks
"I love your smile and your laugh and how you're stubborn.
I love how you stand up for yoursself,
How there is no one else like you."
The Piano Boy leans down and rests his forehead against The Wise Girl's
The Wise Girl looks at him
Right in the eyes
She closes the gap between them
The Piano Boy smiles hen The Wise Girl kisses him
He leans closer to her
Hearing a sudden, unholy, burst of notes
As The Wise Girl leans back into the Piano
Not for the first
And certainly not for the last time
The Piano Boy disregards the intruments sound
In favor of the girl
The Piano Boy never truly understood
The purpose of the music
Until her
The Wise Girl
The Piano Boy was a loner to a fault
Always quiet
Able to stands hours of solitude and silence
He hadn't known how much he'd missed and wanted company
The insecure Wise Girl
Brought out of her shell and now,
Able to stand on her own two feet
She wasn't alone
They're no longer hiding
No longer afraid
No longer isolated
No longer pretending
The Wise Girl smiles up at him
There is a free openness in her face
It lights up her eyes
The Piano Boy smiles, pressing his forehead to hers again
The Wise Girl pulls away and sits on the piano bench
"Can you show me how to play it again?" The Wise Girl asked
The Piano Boy leaned over her gently
Guiding her fingers
They stayed like that for a long time
The Piano Boy and The Wise Girl
Playing their song together
Just the two of them
And The Piano
