I woke up today staring at the moon and stars ……

Millions of stars that serve as lights in our pitch black world….

I tried to reach it…. But they were so far ….

I stare at the odd crescent moon…

But it is as if, it was mocking us as it looked down in our land…

A land where hopes were deprived…

Prologue:

In a typical Forest; everything has its own functions and roles. Everybody thinks, acts, and struggles in order to breathe, the same thing with humans.

The world is full of competitions. It is first come, first served basis. You have to top everybody in order to live. In a place where competition is very rampant, the prey has to outsmart the predator in order to survive. The predator has to outrun the weak in order to live. When the time starts ticking, they better be moving or else they die. They have to do anything in order to survive. Those two have something in common; they are afraid of death. But in a place where lots of possible danger, those two could never be certain if they were just a prey or the predator. They could be both; a prey and a predator and maybe they were just a food of this cruel food chain.

Our nature has its odd way of choosing its chosen ones. It would do anything just to measure you.  Only those who qualified in its natural selection deserve to live. Those who can adapt in any environment, those who outsmart others, those who can outrun others, those who are resourceful, and those strong ones are on its checklist. There’s no place for the weak. They’ll just rot and die.

Some of us might be taking everything for granted, but to an outcast like us, we have to struggle just to get what we need. We fight to live, we struggle to survive. Unlike anyone, we do not take anything for granted. Everything is valuable to us which is why we fight even the most useless thing you could possibly think.  We crawl, we run, we hide, and we fight in order to survive in this cruel world. This is survival of the fittest.
