Bonnie and Jake talked that night. Bonnie decided that it was the right time. She needs their closure for her to be able to move on completely. But what happened is the opposite of what she expected.
Flashback
"Oh sh*t." Bonnie murmured.
"Hello, Bonnie." Jake smiled at her. That same smile that melts her and makes her heart beat erratically.
"What are you doing here?" Bonnie asked him when she was able to find her voice. She glared at Leigh who is now grinning at her. She glanced at Dylan, silently pleading for him to help her. She looked at Alex, who seems to be seething with anger. She glanced at Tiara who gave her an encouraging smile.
"Well, I was wondering if we could talk." Jake looked at Bonnie, hoping that she would say yes.
"We'll leave you two to talk." Leigh said as she dragged the other three to the dining room.
"How about dinner? I'm starving!" Bonnie yelled but to no avail. She heard Jake chuckled. She shot him a death glare. That shut him up.
"So," Jake cleared his throat before speaking again. "Can we talk now?"
Bonnie sighed. "Fine. Let's talk outside."
Bonnie led the way and went outside. She sat on the couch in their porch. Jake followed her and sat beside her.
"Uhh. Do you mind? I'd like to maintain my personal space."
Jake smiled sadly but complied. He moved an inch or two away from her. Awkward silence.
"I thought we're going to talk?" Bonnie asked him without even looking at him. "Then talk. I'm listening."
Jake took a deep breath. "Baby-"
She was taken aback by that. Jake used to call her "Baby". It was their endearment when they were still together. She cut him off.
"Woah. Hold it right there. Let's get one thing straight first. Don't. Call. Me. Baby." She said through gritted teeth, emphasizing every word.
"I'm sorry."
Bonnie scoffed. "Is that all?"
"I know this is absurd but I want to ask for a second chance." Jake told her while looking into her eyes.
"A second chance to what? To hurt me again and break my heart?," Bonnie asked sarcastically. "Humor me, Jake. You cheated on me. You and my best friend cheated on me. Funny, isn't it? My boyfriend and my best friend, having an affair behind my back. So much for cliche."
Bonnie couldn't hold back her tears anymore. She just let her tears flow. Jake wiped her tears and pulled her closer to him and hugged her.
"I'm sorry, Baby. I know it's my fault. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Give me another chance. Please. I was devastated without you. I need you in my life." He said while holding her close.
Bonnie tried to push Jake away from her but he wouldn't budge. "Please, let me go." She whispered.
"N-no." Jake murmured. Bonnie could hear him sobbing. "I love you, Baby. I always have. I never stopped loving you."
End of flashback
"So," Leigh said as she sat on her favorite bean bag in their entertainment room.
"So what?"
"We're leaving for Santorini for the summer. Are you sure you won't come with us?" Leigh pouted. They've been bugging Bonnie for the past couple of weeks.
