"Are we ready?" I asked and Mark nodded. I grabbed his hand and he took me into his car. We started driving to the edge of town, Ryan and Felix following. We needed to scale the exit before we could leave. Once we got there it was only a cliff, with at least 100 ft drop. "Holy shit!" I shouted and Mark pulled me away from the edge. It was oddly compelling. Mark walked closer to the edge litterally leaning on thin air.
"I can't fall. Being in this town means falling isn't easy. This wall is the thing that's hold me, and Ryan from being even slightly normal." Mark said standing up straight. Felix looked at me and shurgged his shoulders. I noticed something about this little edge. It was surrounded by trees, and it looked like this is the only way out. I grabbed Felix and tied a rope around his body.
"So you guys are gonna let me down at far as that ledge right there?" Felix said pointing to the ledge. I nodded, and he pulled me forcing my face up to meet his eyes. "So fucking help me, do not drop me. I don't want to die." I nodded once more. Mark and Ryan walked a few feet away, talking about something.
"Felix, this is nuts. I mean we need to pull them out of here, like literally pull them through the wall. Felix looked at me, and shook his head.
"No, we need to make them human again. Like have sex, or even kiss them. But we can't just do it out of 'oh I am gonna save you, and we never speak again.' You got to love them first." Felix said as if this were correct, and judging by he way he looked at me, it sounded true. I looked down as I double knotted the rope. He hugged me. "Don't drop me please." He said in such a nervous, scared voice.
"I could never lose my best friend."I said as he let me go, and walked to the edge. I held the rope really good, luckily Felix didn't weight much. He started going downwards slowly. I looked back to where Mark and Ryan were only to see neither of them were there. I only saw a black van, and four men getting out of the van. They pointed a gun to me, and I started tensing up.
"Drop the rope!" One men shouted at me and I shook my head. "Drop it now!" He screamed even louder. He walked closer to me the other men out put there guns down. They just stood there watchig us, I heard twigs break to my left. I looked back down and saw Felix on the ledge. He threw the rope the rest of the way down, and gave me a thumbs up. I ran to the tree and tied the rope to it. "Stop him!" The man shouted and the other men started running at me as I climbed down the rope. I heard the men struggle.

"Who were those crazy bastards?" Felix asked as we saw Mark and Ryan get pulled away. I looked at him and shook my head.
"I think they own this place, or keep people from leaving. I mean it's just a guess." I said and Felix started nodded his head pulling me fowards.
"A accurate guess. My only question is how could we end up there, it there is a fucking cliff?" Felix asked pointing up.
"I don't know, but what I do know is we need to get home. My mom is gonna be pissed." I said. We started walking fowards and saw our home town was a few hours away.
