You flick through your geometry book searching for that nights homework, you were suppose to be studying with Peter -your best friend- but he had texted telling you to just start without him. Once finding the page you needed you read through the questions finding that you barely understood what was being explained this's why you needed Peter he always knew how to throw light upon the problems, you check your phone he had only texted you ten minutes ago and you were already bored and confused you shut the textbook before pushing it off your bed with your foot you decide to play on your phone for a bit before getting bored of that also, you get up and start to clean your room out of habit after cleaning up a bit you check the time again it had now been thirty minutes and you honestly were starting to give up on Peter this wasn't the first time he'd done this so you turn on your tv and forget about him until you hear a knock on your window. Dazed you head to the locked window looking out into the inky darkness, there on your fire escape was Spider-Man you stood there for a moment before registering what was going on you unlock your window and Spider-Man swings into your room he groans in pain dropping to his knees and clutching his stomach.
"Uh?" You were speechless.
"Peter told me you could help me." He mumbles.
Peter knew Spider-Man? That's not the point! You shake your head to try and focus, you kneel down next to the guy and check his wound, he was bleeding pretty badly.
"Do you think you can move?" He shakes his head.
"In too much pain." He groans.
"Alright give me a minute." You hurry out of your room and into the bathroom to grab the medkit and a cloth.
You go back to your room switching on your main light to see properly.
"Can you take your suit off?" Spider-Man groans before tapping the spider symbol on his suit.
The clothing goes slack and falls off his shoulders you help pull down the fabric you notice the peculiar boxers he has on, you had seen them before dismissing it you start to disinfect the laceration on his abdomen.
"This may sting a little." You wipe an alcohol towelette onto the cut.
He flinched and his stomach tenses, you carry on wiping away the blood with the cloth before putting salve on the wound and wrapping a bandage around him.
"I can only help so much, you should probably go to a hospital." You pack up the medkit and throw out the used wipes and cloth.
"Can't let anyone know who I am." He says weakly.
You help Spider-Man up to your bed after he tells you he can move and then you see it, the scar on his collarbone. Peter had a similar scar he had gotten it when you had accidentally hit him with a hammer, you were really young when it happened but you would always remember the mark it left.
"No. No freaking way! Peter?" He looked up and his eyes went wide.
"No I'm not Peter I don't know why you would think that I'm him." You grabbed at his mask pulling it off his face.
Peter has a guilty look on his face, if he hadn't been injured you would've punched his shoulder.
"How can you be him? Oh Jesus I told you that I liked Spider-Man! You dick!" You flicked his nose.
"Hey!"
"You asshole, why didn't you tell me? No don't answer that cause your just gonna say 'I wanted to keep you safe'." You crossed your arms against your chest.
"What gave it away?" He asks.
"Well first off I recognised those ugly ass boxers and then the scar on your collarbone."
"Sorry."
"Why are you sorry? You're a fricken' superhero Pete! You save people's lives, you are apart of the Avengers!"
"I'm sorry cause I didn't tell you." You roll your eyes.
"Parker look at me," he glanced at you before smiling a little, "you probably had your own reasons why you didn't tell me and I'm just glad you came to me for help."
"I didn't tell you..." He starts.
"Shh! I don't wanna know, I respect your choices Peter that's what friends do." He frowns.
"That's just the thing (y/n), I did it because I sorta maybe like you and I didn't wanna say anything because I wanted to keep you safe."
"That was so cliché Parker, but yeah I sorta maybe like you too." He smiles widely only to wince at the cut on his lip.
"What am I ever gonna do with you?" He gives a light shrug.
Peter Parker your friend since grade school was Spider-Man, great just another thing to worry about but he was worth the worry.
