Freedom in absolute sense was lost when we, humans first started to live in social groups. From what I understand today freedom is a space which we all cohabit. Everything will go well till the group's vision is towards growth. The moment they become greedy and try to take up more space than we need, we end up cramping others.
Nations do that, religions and genders do that. Whenever we strong-arm to get that extra inch of blanket we disrobe our neighbors.
War is about fighting for our space, not crushing other's.
