Jaehee
January 13
I felt like a bad friend.
For once, I didn't know what to do when Suyung needed me the most. I felt so useless. I wanted to help her so much, but what could I do?
Taehyung told me about her dropping out and that their business was closing. Maybe I should've bought all the flowers when I could, huh?
She has a lot of weight on her shoulders. Her sister passed away, her niece looks up to her, her dad is sick, and she's the only one her family could depend on.
And her hand.. I was looking forward to seeing and hearing her play the piano when we got back to school. I wanted her to keep on moving forward even if she surpassed a huge obstacle that got really got her down. But she isn't even here.
I snapped out of my thoughts and sighed, shouldering my bag and walking out of the classroom, as class was already over. As usual, I made my way to the benches out in the field, where all of us would usually hang out.
I waved at the boys once seeing them. I was glad Jungkook was out of the hospital. He was still limping, but with a little help, he manages. I placed my bag on the table.
"Hey." I greeted, before sitting next to Jungkook. Everyone didn't seem like their usual selves. Yoongi wasn't on his phone, Taehyung and Hoseok were quiet, Jimin was smiling small, Seokjin wasn't eating, Jungkook wouldn't meet anyone's eyes, Namjoon kept sighing, but I couldn't blame any of them.
"Yo," Namjoon replied. "I think we all have one person in mind."
"I want to help her." I spoke up. "I really want to.."
"I'm thinking of giving her the money I won from the recital." Taehyung spoke up. "I don't know what to do with the money anyways."
"She won't take easy money." Jungkook interrupted, his head lowered. "My mother insisted to give help to her and her family, but they didn't want to take it."
"Knowing her, I don't think she'll accept any kind of money she knew we didn't work hard on." Namjoon added. "If I could, she wouldn't even be in this kind of situation."
"Recital.." Yoongi trailed off. "There's going to be a music recital in Seoul next week."
"You're joining?" Seokjin's eyes widened.
He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed, "I want to help her. I might as well."
"Next week.." Taehyung started, and his eyes gleamed in excitement. "How about we come with you then, Yoongi-hyung?"
"What?" Yoongi scoffed.
"For one week," Tae held up a finger. "We can earn lots."
"One week?" Jimin asked in english.
I kinda got where he was going at, but I let him speak.
"We can divide ourselves into groups." he made hand motions as he spoke. "Yoongi-hyung has to win the recital! Me, Jaehee, Seokjin and Namjoon-hyung can sing. While Jungkook, Jimin and Hoseok-hyung can dance."
"Public performance." Jimin nodded.
My brows furrowed, "Jungkook probably wouldn't be able to fully recover by next week."
"Nah." he waved a hand and flashed Hoseok a competitive glare. "Let's stop the dancing rivalry for one week."
Hoseok chuckled and they slapped hands, "Got it!"
