Scarlett's POV
The doorbell rang and we all thought it was the stripper coming. It's about time. It's been over two hours and he hasn't arrived. Holly answered the door and she was shocked when she saw who it was.
"Scott, what are you doing here?" I heard her say.
Oh no, she's told me about this guy. I know all about the party. I don't like this guy. I don't even know him, but what I've heard of him I don't like. He hurt Holly. That's the only thing I need to know for me not to like him.
I walked up beside her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. He looked surprised and then he looked disgusted after my next move. I grabbed Holly's face and kissed her hard. She kissed back and moaned. It made me feel good that I could do this to her. She loves my lips. It made me feel better to know I made him sick.
After our lips separated she turned back to him flushed. I smiled knowing that I could do this. I held her in my arm and glared at him. Holly knew of my dislike of him.
"Scott you didn't answer my question. What are you doing here?" Her voice was harsh. I thought this made her so sexy.
"Holly I need to talk to you alone please."
"No, whatever you have to say to me you can say in front of my fiance."
The change in his expression made me laugh. He looked so awkward standing there. He was dumbfounded.
"Your fiance?! Holly, she's a woman! You're not gay! Are you?!"
"Scott, yes I am. You are interrupting our bachelorette party. Now if you'll be so kind as to leave that will be greatly appreciated. Oh and by the way, I know she's a woman, that's sort of the point." She was feisty tonight. Maybe it was because of the alcohol, but I'm not sure.
He was ticked off. His face got blood red. As she was about to slam the door in his face, he pushed it open. He barged into the house and grabbed Holly by her hair, and he threw her across the floor. He jumped on top of her and punched her.
He started choking her. She was gasping for air and kicking her legs. I hit him with the broom across his back. She was coughing and she ran to the bathroom and locked the door. He ran out the front door to his car.
I chased him down in my car. If I get my hands on him I'll kill him. Nobody hurts my girl and gets away with it.
It was storming that night. I could barely see the road. I was behind him though I knew it. I was right on his tail. Every time he turned I turned right along with him.
He was outrunning me. Let me just say this boy could drive, but I can drive too. My dad was in the derby. He taught me everything I know.
He went down a back road, one I'd never been down. That didn't stop me though. I followed right along. He tried speeding up, but so did I. He turned sharp, but when I did, I hit the back of his car and we both flipped off of the road.
I counted five flips my car did. Who knows how many he did? My car landed right side up. My head ached. I had my seatbelt on. It wouldn't budge. I looked down at my leg and there was blood everywhere. It was broken.
I was dizzy I felt like I was about to pass out. I grabbed my phone and called 911. I hoped that they would come in time. The last thing I remember thinking of was Holly before everything went black.
Holly's POV
I walked out of the bathroom and looked for Scarlett. She was nowhere to be found. I asked everyone if they'd seen her and they said she chased Scott out of the driveway in her car.
It was storming. I hope she was okay. If anything were to happen to her I would never forgive myself.
*ring*
My phone went off. I quickly answered when I saw Scarlett's number.
"Hello, baby are you there?"
"Is this Ms. Holly Smith?" An unfamiliar woman's voice answered the phone.
"Yes, where is Scarlett? Is she alright?"
"Ms. Smith I'm sorry to tell you that Ms. Stellar was in a car accident tonight. I'm going to need you to come in."
I quickly hung up the phone. I told Ariel to come with me and we just left everyone else there. I explained everything to Ariel on the way there. She was just as worried as I was. I rushed to the hospital.
We ran inside and I went to the front desk. The nurse pointed me to her room. I ran inside and couldn't believe what I saw.
She was all bruised up. She had a gash on her head. The doctor informed me she just came out of surgery. They said her leg was broken, but it should heal normally. There would be some scarring, but she should be fine.
I didn't care as long as she made it through this, everything would be okay. She lost a lot of blood so they gave her a blood transfusion. She had a cannula in her nose. She needed oxygen because her levels were a little low.
I sat down by the bed and cried. This was all my fault. If I hadn't intimidated Scott this wouldn't have happened. I wonder where he was. Honestly, I could care less. I just needed Scarlett to be okay.
Four hours later Scarlett woke up. The anesthesia wore off. She looked a little groggy though.
"Holly? Is that you?" She said weakly.
"The baby I'm here, I'm here. It's me."
I brushed her hair back. I was crying so much. I was so scared I was going to lose her.
"What happened?" She asked.
"You were in a car wreck. Do you remember anything?"
She explained everything to me. She remembered it all. She knew about the storm and the wreck.
She told me she hit Scott's car and they both flipped. She clocked out after she explained everything. She was alright that's all that mattered. She needed her rest.
I went out to the waiting room and asked the nurse if a man came in at about the same time Scarlett did. I told her I was a friend of his. She told me that he passed away earlier in the night.
He wrecked beside her and died on impact. I felt pain hit me. I was so mad at him and he died. The guilt hit me.
I had to be strong for Scarlett though. She needed me. She was going to need me now more than ever. I was going to be there for her too.
They kept her for a few days. She was so happy to come home, and so was I. We walked through the door and she went upstairs and into bed. The doctor said she would need her rest since she didn't get much in the hospital beds. I lay beside her and we took a nap. I held her close and was so happy that I still had her here with me.
