Holly's POV
The day has finally come. I'm getting married to the most beautiful woman in the world. Scarlett and I have been doing so well. I love her with all my heart.
We haven't seen each other since last night. Ariel says it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. It made me feel so empty waking up without her. I know it's just for one night, but still.
This has made me realize that I don't want to go one day without her. I want to be by her side every day for the rest of our lives. She is my heart and soul.
I'm in the bedroom getting ready when the door opened. I thought it was Ariel because she was helping me get ready.
"Hey did you find my hairpiece?" I said from the bathroom.
"No, but I can help you look."
It was Scarlett! I slammed the door shut quickly. She laughed and jiggled the doorknob. When it wouldn't budge, she knew I was serious.
"Holly open the door. I want to see my beautiful bride."
"No! You know it's bad luck to see me before the wedding."
"No baby, it's not. Please, please open the door. I need to see you."
I wanted to see her too. I did. I slowly opened the door and crept out. I had my eyes shut, and I heard her laughing.
"Holly, baby you can open your eyes."
"No, you said you wanted to see me. Well, you did."
"So you don't want to see me too?"
I could imagine her face now. I could see her puppy eyes begging me to look at her. I slowly opened my eyes. I was so shocked to see what I did.
SHE WAS WEARING A DRESS!
This is the first time I've ever seen her in a dress. She was so beautiful. It was a beautiful white ball gown. She had a beaded fitted top. She had a sweetheart neckline. It was so poofy and looked perfect on her.
"OMG, you're so beautiful, honey."
I was crying. She was too. We held each other, and then Ariel came into the room. She saw us crying, and she joined in as well.
We laughed, and I held out my arm for her to join the group hug. After it was over, Scarlett let us get back to getting me ready. Ariel found my hairpiece. It was a butterfly clip. It was good and the wings had diamonds. I had my hair up in a bun, and Ariel added the clip.
I was crying when I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked beautiful. I've never thought I ever looked beautiful. I couldn't believe it was me.
It was time for me to walk down the aisle. Ariel was the one to walk me down. She said she had a surprise for me though. She told me to close my eyes and I did.
When I opened them I was so happy. My mom and dad were standing in front of me. They both said they'd be here for me, and my dad apologized.
I was crying tears of joy. I ran to them and gave them both a hug. My mom told me that all of the family came. Everyone came. It meant so much to me that they were here.
I walked down the aisle with my dad. I saw Scarlett's family, and also mine. They were all cheering for me, which made me laugh. Scarlett was laughing too, and she gave me a wink.
I ended up in front of her. She lifted my veil. She was crying now, which made me cry too.
"Who is giving these young women away today?" The preacher said.
Both of our fathers stood up and said, "We are. "
"Dearly Beloved we are gathered here today, to witness the bond of these two souls. If anyone has any reason why these two shouldn't be married, speak now, or forever hold your piece."
Nobody spoke. Nobody stood up. That is when I knew everyone accepted us. We were going to get married without any problems at all.
"The two brides have written their vows."
He gestured towards me. I took in a deep breath, and let it out. I took Scarlett by the hands and I started to tell her of all my love for her.
"Scarlett, We have been together for over a year now. I've never been happier in my entire life. You are the reason I wake up in the morning. You are my heart and soul. I love you so much, I wouldn't know where I would be without you. You're my everything. I need you like the moon needs the stars. I need you like the flowers need the rain. I love you baby from this day forward. For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do we part. I will love you for an eternity."
She was crying, and I was too. You could barely understand what I was saying. Now it's Scarlett's turn. I knew I'd be in a heap of tears.
"Holly, my love, my darling, my life, and my soul. You are so beautiful, and amazing. We've been through so much this past year. We've had our ups and downs and troubles along the way, but we've always been able to get through. There were a couple of times that we almost lost each other. We made it through though. I love you now, and forever. We have all the love in the world for each other. I need you to baby, I truly do. I love you eternally. For better or worse, in sickness and in health, for richer and poorer, till death do we part. I promise you I will be with you forever. I love you, baby."
We both were crying again. We gave each other our bands. They had our names engraved on the top. Mine had her name, and hers had mine. We kissed and we drove the car to the after-party.
It was so much fun. We had a blast. When it was time for our first dance, it wasn't our song. It was different.
Perfect by Ed Sheeran was playing. I love this song. It was so perfect for us. This became our new favorite song.
We cut the cake, and we even did the thing, where we shoved it into each other's faces. Scarlett had a huge piece in mine. After the party, we said our goodbyes and drove the car home, with the just married sign on the back.
She carried me over the threshold, and up the stairs to our room. We made the most passionate love we ever have. She was so gentle and I loved it. She was amazing. She said I wasn't too bad myself, jokingly.
I couldn't wait to start our lives together. I wonder what this road will lead us to.
Happily Ever After?
