A sentence is parallel when its components are balanced and has the same structure. The sentence, "The artist sang, danced, and performed", is an example of a parallel sentence because the verbs are all in their past form.
An informative paragraph can be compared to a research paper because like a research paper, it gives information but an informative paragraph is shorter.
