my daughter is only 4 years old and she likes to play with her pink teddy bear.

she always has a staring contest with her bear and says, "mommy! mommy! i won the staring contest!"

i would always reply, "that's great hun! go play some more."

i always thought she won for her amusement.

one day, my husband left for work and my daughter was at school. work for me didn't start for another hour, so i dediced to clean up the house a bit.

i cleaned my daughter's room and saw her teddy bear on the floor.

just for fun, i did a staring contest with it.

after 30 seconds, i dropped it and ran out of the house.

my husband came back from work and asked me what was wrong.

i told him i had won the staring contest with the bear.
