It turns out life can not get any better.   My "punishment"  was not a "punishment".  In fact, it was a gift.  All I had to do was respond and attend to all the mail, and stay in my "room", if you can even call it that,  during dinner.  I entered my attic and took the box out of the place where I had hid it.  Luckily when Mackenzie had caught me she believed my makeshift pathetic "I-am-sick-and-needed-medicine" excuse, so I was able to hide the box in my room.  Now I can finally open it and see why someone found it necessary to send us such a fancy box.  I examined the box, it was silver on the sides, and gold on the lid.  It was encrusted with jewels.  In the middle of the lid, near the clasp, there was a plate.  Engraved on the plate was some writing but you had to turn the box in the light to make it out, and since there was no concept of light in my attic, I couldn't read it.  When I opened it, a similar jewel encrusted, small little envelope fluttered out.  I opened it to see:

To Tanya, Tiffney, Britney, and Ashley Cinderpot,

You are invited to the Wilder Triplets (Zachary, Daniel, and Alexander) annual end of summer gala.  This is a ball, so please come wearing a fancy dress or skirt and shirt.  Please RSVP ASAP.  If you cannot attend please inform us before hand.  To enter the ball you all must wear the tokens provided, to show to the guards.  It starts at 8:15, but please arrive before 7:30.

Sincerely,

Zachary, Daniel, and Alexander Wilder

I looked inside the box to see 5 beautifully made necklaces.  They were all gold, except for one that was crystal.  Each had a delicate heart dangling on the thin chain with Tanya's and the triplets names written on them, except for the crystal one.  It had a teardrop  with MY name  on it.  I looked inside the box at the rest to see a small card, and matching earrings, and a bracelet for my necklace.  I picked up the card to read it:

To Isabella Cinderpot,

The token with your name on it, is different from your stepsisters, because you are a VIP guest.  You will enter from a special door and will have an arranged seat at the dinner tables.  You will be brought to the ball in a limo specially reserved for you.  You must be ready an hour later at 8:00 instead of 7:00 like the rest. Please be ready on time, and RSVP ASAP.,

Zach, Danny, and Alex

What??!!  Did I seriously just get invited to the WILDER'S SUMMER GALA!???  I don't believe it.  The Wilder family  are the richest people in town!!  One of their daughters, who just left for college was the queen of our high school when she went there.  I mean with her Scandinavian princess looks,  pale blonde hair that was silky and long, and completely straight, and literally ice-blue eyes, and her bubbly sweet personality it was hard not to love her.  She was the smartest,  prettiest, nicest person in our school.  No wonder everyone adored her.

She even had a sweet name,  Olive Hazel Wilder.  Her little sister well... she was the complete opposite, personality wise.  She was a carbon copy of her older sister except her hair was always in corkscrew curls.  And she was a total brat.  Spoiled, and pampered her entire life, she was a cliché, rich daddy's girl.  Her name is Courtney Zoe Wilder, but everyone just calls her the Wilder Princess or bitch.  The triplets... well they shouldn't be triplets.  They were so different from each other the only things they had in common was that they had the same mom and dad and the same style of hair, Oh and they were AMAZING SINGERS.

Alexander Anthony Wilder had black hair, and bright  green eyes that he hid with his hair, he loved art and was constantly making up poems or sketching random pictures.  Daniel Cole Wilder had light brown hair with dark brown eyes, and was the smartest of all 3 triplets,  but despite his family's cliche curse, he didn't have glasses or was bullied.  In fact he was quite popular.  Everyone loved him just like they loved his sister.  He was also a great soccer player, he literally had it all:  the looks, the smarts, the popularity and the riches.  Then there was Zachary Jake Wilder.  In 6 letters he could be described:  PLAYER.  He was the girls' favorite triplet, although his brothers weren't that far behind.  He was the clichest person I have ever met!  He was a player, was rich, was football team captain/quarterback, could have good grades if he tried, was super cocky and arrogant, was a perv and had dyed dirty blonde hair with  blue eyes, but no one besides me and his family knew about the dye.

And no, I'm not their stalker.  Jeez people I'm not a total creep.  When we were little the 4 of us were best buddies, but that was back then when money, looks, and your company didn't matter.  We constantly had sleepovers and play dates.  Then when Mom died I pushed them away and built my walls to make sure no one hurt me like Roman did.

"Daddy!! Catch me!"

"Okay Sweetie!  I got you!!  See Samantha I told you I wouldn't let our daughter fall.  Isn't that right,  Didn't I tell Mommy Izzy Bells?"

"Yes Daddy did say so Mommy.  Daddy was right."

Mommy just sighed and muttered "Daddy's Girl", but I could see she was grinning from the corner of my eye.

"Come on Izzy Bells lets go get Ben&Jerrys OK?"

"YAY!!"
