"Thank you." I thanked the nurse pulling my jacket over my shoulders. She gave me this sweet smile and helped me out the bed. She handed me my phone, I took it and gave her a smile back. I walked to the front of the hospital out side, and sat down on the bench. I zipped my jacket up and pulled my hood over my head. I held my medical pills in close under my arm and in my move pulling my phone out and unlocking it to call, August. He answered on the 3rd ring.
August: H-Hello?
He slurred his words. I shook my head.
Aubrey: Aug, I got discharged, can you come pick me up now?
August: Yeah, I'm leaving now.
I bit my lip and looked around.
Aubrey: Well, hurry please it's, dark and rainy out, and you know it gets cold out.
August: I-Ight, bye.
He hung up. I looked down at my phone and I had 20% left. He needs to hurry up, because I'm sleepy and I miss my bed.
Staff: Umm miss would you like to come in and wait?
I looked up gave her a sweet smile.
Aubrey: No, I'm fine.
She nodded and went back inside.
...15 Minutes Later...
Aug, pulled up and I got in the car. I looked around for, Ava but she was no where to be found.
Aubrey: Where is my daughter. August, please tell me you ain't leave her with one of yo home boys?
August: Chill she at home sleep.
I smacked him in his head.
Aubrey: August, Go Home Now, Nigga!
He drove off. I would hit him off and on till we pulled up. I ran to the front door, and ran to her room. Luckily, she was still sleep, but anything could've happened. She 3 and doesn't need to be home alone.

She sniffed and looked up at me.

She sat down.
I got in the shower, then hopped out. I put on lotion, deodorant, and my underclothes, then got dressed in basketball shorts without a shirt. I cut off everything and closed my eyes.
I felt the bed dip and the covers being lifted. She rolled over laid her head on my chest, then wrapped her arms around my torso.
I looked slightly opened my eyes, and put my hand in her back?
August: You good?
She shifted and kissed my chest.
Aubrey: I'm fine.
August: How you feelin'?
Aubrey: My cheek is sore that's it. But it's ok, I know your sorry. Right?
I chuckled.
August: Yea.
I moved her off me and I turned over and went to sleep.

I woke and climbed out of bed. I turned on my tv and went in my mommy and daddy's room. I heard mommy sounding like she was about to cry. Mommy was saying stuff like its too deep.
