Chapter 2: Dery Town
-Okay Okay... Just promise you won't hurt her- I said.
"I promise" Good. Dragons always made their promises, if they didn't, the weren't loyal, and dragons were very loyal and proud, if they broke a promise they were bad and like "ignored" by all the other dragons.
"Now. My Scale"
-Okay Okay...- I put my hand in my pocket. -But first you have to figure out how to get out of here!- I said as I threw to her a gas bomb. When the cloud of dust and powder was hiding everything I ran to Amy, grabbed her hand and ran out of the cave while I heard Shiara roaring like if there wasn't tomorrow.
Amy started to slow down our running.
-Don't stop Amy!! She'll eat us if you stop!!- She continued running faster.
After some minutes of running she started to slow down again.
-It's all right Weather, she won't hurt us, she's too far-
-No Amy, while we're on the mountain she CAN eat us, and she will if we don't get as fast as we can to the town- I said pulling her to continue running.
Finally the town was near, we made it, we passed through some small gates and entered running to the town, we went to the centre and there I put my hands on my knees to take a breath.
Suddenly a group of people started to make a circle around us, we looked around and then everyone started applauding.
-He killed the dragon!- some said.
-He saved our town!- a woman shouted.
-He saved Dery Town!- others said. I smiled.
-Can we have some water?- Amy asked.
Almost instantly a woman came with two glasses with water. Amy started drinking immediately, I wasn't That tired, I had run several times larger distances because if dragons, I was used to it.
When everyone went to their homes after a large time of congratulations and thanks, me and Amy went to a little house that people in town gave us. We entered and I went right upstairs. Two rooms, one with one bed and a candle, windows and a mirror.
I took a quick shower and then went downstairs, there, Amy was sitting in a chair, without moving.
-Hey, are you okay?- I asked.
-I just can't believe it...- she said.
-It's over Amy, your safe here- I said walking to her.
She turned and her brown bright hair waved in the air.
-Thank you...- she whispered.
-Why?-
-You saved my life...and the scale is yours- she said smiling and looking at my pocket.
-I couldn't had let you die, could I?- I said. I stood her up and hugged her tightly. -You're safe Amy...-
-I will never go with you again- she said. I laughed.
-You don't have to hahaha...-
-How can you do it everyday?- she said looking at me. I saw her green eyes. She really mean it.
.
-I don't know...I just think in the goal, that it deserves the adventure- I said. She kept silent.
-Well...I'm very tired, I'll go to sleep... Good night Weather...-
-Good night Amy...-I said smiling.
I stayed there a little more and then went upstairs, Amy was already asleep.
I went to my room and took out my boots, then I started realising how tired I was, I just lied on the bed and fell asleep quickly. Thinking on how Shiara would be feeling or even where she was?..
Why were scales so important to them?...
