Naruto: Saving Demons

The Mission

~~~Naruto Uzumaki is a blonde haired, blue eyed boy who lives in an apartment in Konoha. He lives on his own because his family died when he was just a baby. He doesn't have any other family members and no one wants to take care of him. The reason is because he carries the nine tailed fox inside of him. He's been an outcast since he was little. Now he's part of team Kakashi who's members consist of Sasuke Uchiha, the last survivor of the fatal night where all the Uchihas died by the hands of his older brother, Sakura Haruno, a love-sick fangirl of Sasuke's who ignores Naruto even though he likes her, and their sensei, Kakashi Hatake, son of the white fang and who's childhood wasn't that good. Naruto and Sasuke battle constantly to see who's the best. The Akatsuki are people from different villages who seek to extract the tailed beasts from their hosts. Naruto is one of them. So far, Naruto has been safe in the Leaf Village and no one has been able to find him. But that all changes when a few Akatsuki members show up in the village. And their main goal...Naruto.~~~

Naruto slammed his fist onto the alarm clock. He sat up in his bed and yawned. "I hate mornings." He got out of bed, got dressed, and met his teammates at their usual meeting spot. They were doing a mission today and, like always, Kakashi was late. Naruto sat on the bench next to Sakura while Sasuke leaned on the wall. They didn't speak until Kakashi finally arrived. Sasuke glared at him. "Took you long enough sensei." Kakashi looked at Sasuke and smiled behind his mask. "Sorry. I had ran into Asuma on the way here and I asked him if he could hand in some papers to the Hokage for me." Naruto jumped off the bench and balled his fists and smiled. "Who cares just tell us our mission! Is it a high rank mission?" Kakashi sighed and looked at Naruto. "No, it's a D rank mission. We're just going to deliver some scrolls and come straight back to the village." Sakura looked at Kakashi. "What kind of scrolls?" He fished into his pouch and took out one of the scrolls. "No, they're just some medicine scrolls. Nothing that important but the towns we're taking them to needs them." Naruto sighed and folded his arms. "Man. That sounds boring." Sasuke snickered at looked at Naruto. "Is it too much for you?" Sasuke was now getting in his daily dose of teasing Naruto. Naruto turned around and scowled at Sasuke. "Of course not! Don't look down on me, I'll beat you and prove I'm stronger than you!" Kakashi sighed. He knew there was no stopping them when they start fighting. "Come on, we need to get going. We'll split into teams just in case robbers try and come after the scrolls. Sasuke and Naruto, you pair up. Sakura, you're with me." They all looked at him with shocked faces. Naruto was the first to speak. "Why am I with Sasuke? I can't work with that guy!" Sasuke scowled at Naruto then at Kakashi. "Same with me! He'll just slow me down!" Naruto looked at him. "It's the other way around idiot!" Kakashi shook his head and looked at them. "Both of you need to get along better. That's why I've paired you 2 up." Sakura looked at the ground then at Kakashi. "But I want to team up with Sasuke. Please Kakashi sensei?" Kakashi shook his head again. "No. My decision is final. Now let's get moving." They all groaned and went towards the front gates to the village. Before leaving, Kakashi went over the plan one more time. "Ok. Sasuke and Naruto will take their scrolls to the town in the west while me and Sakura take ours to the East town. We meet back here once we finish delivering the scrolls. Now let's go." They all went in their assigned locations. Sasuke was in front of Naruto. Naruto was scowling at Sasuke. He kept wondering why he had to be paired up with someone like him. Wanting us to get along was just wishful thinking to Kakashi sensei to Naruto. Naruto wasn't p aying attention and almost ran into a tree limb. He screamed and was able to dodge it just in time. Sasuke looked back at him. "Watch where you're going usuratonkachi." Naruto was about to make a retort when they both sensed something coming towards them. They immediately went to the ground and pulled kunais. Sasuke actived his sharingan. "Maybe it's some bandits. But we're nowhere near the town yet." They both stood in silence until there was a rustling behind them. Naruto threw his kunai only to have it be blocked by another kunai. Two guys appeared out of the trees. They were wearing black cloaks which had what looked like red clouds on them. Naruto pulled out another kunai. "Who are you guys?" Sasuke had a scared look. He knew who one of them was. "Itachi." Naruto looked at Sasuke, confused then looked back at the two guys. "Itachi? Who's that?" Sasuke tried to regather his cool and calm down a bit before answering Naruto. "He's my older brother."
