The moment Louis opened his eyes, he immediately regretted it.

Maybelline? Why in all the people was Maybelline here? The tall crazy cuokoo girl with thick eyebrows and big black eyes.  Terrific. The circle of pearls around his wrist clacked together as he rubbed his forehead. Pearls. Where was Zipper and that Zero? Then he remembered what had happened. How did the pearls returned to his wrist? He decided he'll find out later. First, he was going to find the two obnoxious kids.

He ignored the curious stare of the girl and strode forward in that easy stride of his. Maybelline  followed in quick trots.

" I found the green!" She said happily to no one in particular.

She grabbed Louis, and spun him around. Louis struggled a bit with her grasp, she was surprisingly strong for someone in a pink puffy ballroom dress. He pushed her away.

" What do you want?" He frowned.

Maybelline shot two fingers onto each of Louis's eyelids with lightening speed and plucked his eyes painfully wide open with her fingertips. She peered into them.

"Green! I found the green!" She let go and clapped her hands.

Louis was shocked, he didn't even had time to react!

Forget about asking this girl anything. She was clearly off-the-charts mad. He walked down the long aisle with both hands shoved in his pockets of his pants. Then he stopped. There was clearly no end that way. He looked back. Behind the insane girl, the aisle seemed to stretch a long way, too.

I'm going to regret this, he thought.

Before he asked Maybelline anything, he noticed his faint reflection on a dusty porcelain plate near him. His eyes were glowing like two beacons. He blinked.  He blinked again. Wha.....?

He turned to Maybelline. " Might I ask, you don't happen to know where the exit is?"

Maybelline grabbed his wrist and with a quick tug begin leading him down the corrior .He reluctantly let her hold on to his wrist while dragging him behind. The quiver of bow and arrows behind her back seemed not the least bit frightening as they constantly thumped against her back.

After some time they were down the main corridor when suddenly the door opened. Temporarily blinding Louis as he shielded his eyes with his free arm.

Quick as a flash, Maybelline hauled Louis into her arms as a prince would a princess and took a giant leap. Louis's eyes widened with more shock, but made no sound. She whoosed upward, her ribbons dancing crazily around, her dress ballooned. Good thing the ceiling was far away from the highest shelf. After she flew to the highest point, she began descending gently, floating downwards onto the highest shelf. When she landed, her dress deflated around her with Louis still in her arms.

She gave him a big smile. Louis quickly pushed himself out of her arms. His face red with embarrassment and rage. It was pretty dark up here. Good.

He leaned over the edge, a  knee tucked below his chin. A dozen specks of fairies were coming in.

They were whispering but he could hear them clearly as if they were beside him. His eyes narrowed.

"When do we begin the ambush?"
