" .............................and that concludes my backstory." Said Silk shyly, playing with the tip of her braid, looking down.

Me and Zipper were totally blown. Silk did what?!

WHAT?!

" Woah, wait, Silk." I said. " So you're saying that just because you were better than that rich merchant girl at something and also because you were a servant, you got severely punished by strange beings that you didn't know of because you passed out at that time?"

Silk nodded.

" Tough life."

Zipper gave me a tiny punch on the shoulder. " Ow." I yelped.

" Some people are just seriously horrible." Said Zipper. " Sometimes, they just  need a violent reminder." She smiled and waved a fist, at me first. " Maybe I could teach you a few handy moves."

Silk smiled back. " I...I'd like that very much."

We were still in the dark tunnel with balls of illumination. Cassandra grace held up a large mirror. It had taken her some time to find it, but here it was, the mirror that caused so much trouble. Time to end it all.

" Now, for you to do the honors!" Said Cassandra Grace. She placed the mirror in Silk's hands. We all put on our safety goggles.

Silk raised the mirror high, arms trembling.

And smashed it against the hardened web we stood on.

The mirror shattered into a million pieces around us. We held on tight to each other's hands. Sister Picapica had warned us about the following drama that would unfold next. The pieces burst into powdery, glittery grit. The grit shot toward the walls. Cracks formed in the tunnel walls. Purple light shone through the widening cracks.

We were suspended in deep purple space. There was no sound to be heard. No ransom to be paid.

Then the tugging started. My eyes widened. Silk was being tugged away from our circle.

Something strange was definitely happening.

The witch and I tried with all our might to keep her close, but something was not right.

Silk's head suddenly snapped backward, and her eyes rolled into her head. Her grip loosened and she began drifting away from us.

I tried to say something, but like I said there was no sound. Cassandra Grace tried using her power, her brow furrowing, but nothing came.

A million deep dark holes loomed before us. Surrounding us.

We were four ants in a large human city. An unseen force dragged us apart.

Silk tumbling in one direction like a ragdoll, and us in the other.

I held on tight to Zipper, and Zipper onto Cassandra Grace.

Together, we floated into a different tunnel, a different space.
