Why hello there lovelies! I can't believe I'm introducing this character now, my original plan was to introduce him in later chapters. also I'm sorry I haven't updated in ages but I was getting ready to leave for a school trip off the coast and school is almost over... so yeah. I also have been busy reading a bunch of stories and writing other stories like 'unpredictable' and some short emotion stories. And this character is just GR! I couldn't find a better place to introduce HIM! Neither could i just think of a good idea for it so this is how my brain worked don't be to upset its okay!😜

Boy's POV~

*I still don't really remember how we became friends but it doesn't really matter, at least I have someone who I can depend on!*

The girl stepped forward with a mischievous grin," my name is Amatis Shade!" I took in her profile in. And let me just say, she was really really pretty. You know for a street con, actually for a girls standard. she had that natural look that just made everything light up. In the light of the moon, Amatis' hair looked like a halo of light, her eyes gleamed out in a forest menace, her skin looked really dark and her clothes looked greyed. She tore through my thoughts with a rough reminder," Now answer my question!" Her hands were balled into fists, like I would go over to her and start a fight. "My name is William Blacc! I am an orphan of this here orphanage." unlike her i had an American accent, where she was full on English. Dang English people, honestly they are just too proper for me. "would you like to come in, its really cold out here," I offered. honestly it was really cold, I was shivering. "I'd rather not, you see I don't belong with other people I'll just get everyone else hurt or in trouble, "Amatis was frowning. she looked up shyly, "You could join m-me." She turned away quickly so I could see her freakishly long, bright, and tangled hair. "I would like that," I muttered. she looked up quickly, "what was that?"

"I uhm..."

"Well come out wid it."

"Well i-"

"I don't have all night, William."

"I said SURE!"

she smiled and I walked over to her and linked arms with her. right then a light went on in the orphanage and I could hear a child get up and ask others where I was. "and that's our cue let's go, LEAD THE WAY!" She took off down the street dragging me off and we kept running.

Ama's POV

I don't know exactly why I trust him, honestly he isn't even british! but he's all I got, his parents are gone my parents are gone he's practically just like me! Besides what can a 13 year old boy do to me. I may be 12 but I've lived on the streets sense I was 5, so I think I know what I'm doing. I know I could beat him at almost anything that came between and my safety, so I feel kind of safe. but there is always that chance that he'll turn me in to the copper. I'm not running from that monster anymore. I'm running from the copper, the copper can do worse things to me than any monster could.

It's a cold night, very gloomy and very quiet. It is a change that there seems to be no noise, but it's been like this all day. it makes me wonder why and what is going to happen. I looked to my right and I saw William clinging to Baron like it was all he could do. we've been on the streets together for a few months now and William either sleeps later than I or he isn't sleeping. he has rings under his eyes, he is most definitely sleep deprived. I sat up and put Celeste in my hands and cradled her while watching William curiously. "can I tell you something?" William asks this very quietly. I looked away, he might see me staring. "You know you can. The question is: will you tell me?" He moves and is now sitting up, looking at me. I can feel his stares burn into my side like fire. "Im still afraid of the monsters under the bed," William whispered, "I can feel they're gaze upon my shoulders. it's like they want something from me. I can feel them laughing at my misery."

I stared at him in disbelief he knew the monsters were here.no.

"You need to get over it, there are no such things as monsters under the bed," I looked at him with an angry face, "besides we have no bed to have a fear of such things." I looked away, he needs to grow up. He's been through nothing compared to me.
