Getting back on track, Pearlshipping is amazing. I personally shipped them together before I even knew what shipping was and it was probably the first OTP I had. Enough with the sentimental shiz, on to my reasoning.
Out off all the girls Ash has traveled with, I feel like she had the most development and the people I asked about this all have agreed so far. (In case you can't tell already, character development is really important to me ╮(╯▽╰)╭) Dawn's personality matches with Ash's better than all the other girls. To me, at least from what I remember, Dawn was the first girl he wasn't so ignorant with and noticed her emotions better than how he was with his other companions. They also give off a certain vibe I haven't felt from any other main character combination in the show. It generally feels like innocent love and Dawn's feelings aren't thrown out there like Serena's. To me they fit together with a certain click that, in the Pokemon series, is special to them. I definitely rate this ship (10/10) and I will probably always ship it with high regards for the rest of me life.
