I wake up in the morning tucked comfortably in my bed, not entirely sure how I got there.

I sit up slowly, studying my surroundings. All I remember from last night is my conversation with Deaton then me wandering the streets of Beacon Hills in some sort of state of panic.

I glance at my clock and see that it reads 4.00 a.m.. I groan and roll over in my bed, unable to get comfortable again.

I quietly climb out of bed and grab a simple outfit for today. It doesn't take long for me to get ready this morning, I just put on a little makeup and curl my hair loosely.

I walk downstairs and see my mom sitting at the counter sipping coffee.

"You're up early." She comments, her eyes darting over me as she takes in my appearance.

"I couldn't sleep." I admit, walking into the kitchen and grabbing an apple, "I'm going to go for a run."

"Really?" My mom asks, I haven't gone for a run in over a year.

"Yeah, I jut need something to do. Tell Lyds I will make it to school on my own."

My mom nods pleasantly as she takes a long sip from her mug, "See you later tonight."

I give her an innocent smile and walk out the door, happy I didn't have any homework because I had left my things at school.

Similar to last night I zone out, not entirely sure where I'm going, I just run.

I feel myself running faster than I've ever run. I don't realize how far I've made it until I hear the crunch of leaves below my feet.

Taking in my surroundings I realize I'm standing at the edge of the forest I first go bit in. I blink slowly and continue forward, at a normal pace this time. Somewhere off in the distance I hear footsteps and I begin walking in the direction of them, my feet carrying me without thinking.

"Derek?" I call out when I get closer.

I hear a small sigh and he steps out of the underbrush, his green eyes glistening.

"You just can't stay away can you?" He taunts, a small smile pulling at his lips.

"You're a werewolf." I state, watching his facial expression carefully.

His face drops and he narrows his eyes, "What makes you so sure."

"You're eyes glow blue and you always seem to know exactly where people are in this huge woods."

"Those are your only two reasons?" He asks, his eyes widening.

"No," I smirk, "Your reaction was proof enough."

"Well if you're so wise why are you out here with me alone?"

"Are you going to hurt me?" I cross my arms over my chest.

Derek stays silent, answering my question.

"My point is proven."

"I could hurt you if I wanted to, I was born a werewolf meaning I'm much more powerful than a newly turned werewolf who doesn't know her strengths."
