If I had some pearls to give,
Wisdom plucked from this world in which we live,
A world where monsters are hard to forgive,
I would make you a necklace. The pearls would all be happy things,
Truths about flowers and why angels sing,
How the wind carries the butterflies wings,
And nothing of reality.I have seen the pearls you've already strung,
On a thin, fraying string that should not hold one,
Where love is hidden in night , like the light of the sun,
And sadness is a truth. If I had one pearl for you,
I would want you to know, through and through,
That no matter what, you will feel new,
And the past will be the past.
