Chapter 2
I stepped onto the doorstep to Lana's house. I can't believe, after two years I get to see her again! I rung the doorbell and waited. Nervously, I crack my fingers, a habit I picked up from my twin, Ian.
The door abruptly opened, and I saw the beautiful face of my best friend. I jumped into her arms, crying tears of joy. "I'm so glad to see you, Lana! I've missed you so much!" I said shaking her.
She laughed, "I missed you too, Bonnie," she said smiling big. Lana is the nicest person I ever met. She was always so selfless, and that's what everyone loved about her.
She's a happy, old soul, with the kindest green eyes, and the brightest smile, that I've missed so much. She has grown up to be a wonderful woman, who deserves to be happy.
"Honey, whose at the door?" someone said in the other room. "It's Bonnie! The friend I was telling you about from high school." Lana said rolling her eyes.
"Sorry, he's forgetful," she said chucking. " Wait, Lana, is that who I think it is?" I said narrowing my eyebrows. "Yup," Lana said , "I married him!"
I can't believe it! Lana really did it! She married, Matt!Matt was Lana's crush all throughout highschool. Matt was the star football player, and she was the head cheerleader. So you can basically say they're the appinomy of the perfect relationship!
"Bonnie! It's been so long! I can't believe we're all here!" Matt said hugging me. "Yeah, this is amazing!" I said remembering all the memeries back in the day. Wow I sound old....
"Did you bring your Dad, Bonnie?" Lana asked me. "Yup, he's getting the luggage!" I said pointing behind me to the truck.
"Nice truck, is it yours?" Matt asked walking up to it. "Um, yeah it is, it used to be my brother's truck," I said to Matt. "She has three older brothers," Lana whispered into Matt's ear. I rolled my eyes, and smirked.
"Wow, you must be one tough cookie!" Matt said jokingly. "Yup, it's just the boys and I, my mom died a couple years ago," I whispered, not wanting Dad to hear. "Oh, well that's too bad, I'm sorry," Matt said. Dad walked up and yelled, "Enough talkin! We have a wedding to plan!" Everyone laughed.
Time to get started on the wedding!I know she hasn't even met the groom yet, but I want to take my time on the story... I feel good about it!! 👍🏻😊❤️ Goodbye: Meghan
