What does being an actor mean to you? Why did you choose to be an actor? Being an actor enables me to experience different lives as well as having the opportunity to experience things that many people cannot. This is really important to me.
What kind of challenging roles would you like to take on later? Actually, the more (challenging), the better. I'd like to take on various kinds of roles and characters. I really like those challenging kind of roles with more extreme personalities, those with a big psychological gap.
Could you use a few words or a thing to define your youth? There weren't any boundaries in my youth. It was low-key, vibrant as well as full of vigour and vitality.
I viewed the video of you cooking while you were filming abroad. Do you usually cook for your family or friends when you're free? Do you have any specialty dishes? I'll cook for my family, but when I'm with my friends ... I'll eat out more. Now, I'm especially good at cooking all kinds of meat over fire. This is because I've been doing so for the past four months.
(*JY used the word 烧制 [shāozhì] - literally means to fire into a kiln ...I'm not fully sure if the word might also mean roasting. For now, I'll use the word cooking meat over fire - probably something a little similar to barbecuing)
As an influential and prominent public figure, how would you convey your positive vibes to your fans? I'll start from myself. If I do my best, I would be able to serve as a good role model and example.
What do you think of your fans? What are they to you? They are like family. With them, I have confidence and strength. They have that kind of inseparable existence.
Do you have anything you would like to convey to your fans? I love you guys very much. I hope we can walk on this road together for a long time.
What are the reasons behind your participation in the WooHooGo event? Because I like it. I like this kind of entertaining events. I like this current trend of entertainment mode.
Personally, what type of sports are you interested in? Type of sports...the kind of sports I like are not too many. Actually, whenever I'm free, I'd engage in jujitsu as well as swimming.
What kind of clothing style do you think is the most trendy and fashionable? What kind of clothes do you like? I like outfits that are comfortable, relaxed, casual and suitable for me. I feel that being trendy is when one wears outfits that are suitable and fits one well.
Having the chance to act in a film of such national prestige like Operation Red Sea, what are your feelings when you act in an action-packed and pulse-racing film? I feel really honoured to be given the privilege to act in this role as well as making my dreams of becoming a soldier come true. Previously, I used to like military stuff and thus, I feel really honoured to be (given the role of) a sniper of a national Special Forces team in the show. I'm also very happy.
