[1x1 between me and Meaghalovania ]

It's quite difficult to have a romance when the distance is so wide.

She is the impoverished.

The bad side of town. The poor side of town.

He is the rich, born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

They live on two different ends of the spectrum.

But the sunset still looks the same, no matter what side of town you're in.

A small, quaint town, with a surprisingly great divide.

The West Side

The West side of Louiseville is the rich and pampered section of town; the district is separated from the East side by a large gate and fence. It is occupied by large homes, a few of them mansions, along with expensive apartment complexes. Almost all residents own a front lawn, a garage, and two or more cars. Children are often seen playing around outside. However, underneath the paradise atmosphere, "rebelling" children are constructing drug deals and illegal events.

Families are almost always seen with smiles on their faces. The need to conform and associate themselves with others is like a looming aura throughout the entire district. Those who do not assimilate into the society are considered outcasts, or, even worse, criminals. A series of proper behavior must be displayed by all persons-- otherwise, the perpetrator of your family will be evicted.

Those who are evicted seemingly cease to have ever existed within the West district. It wouldn't be wise to walk outside with a frown on your face.

This section of town is also very biased. There is a tacit agreement throughout all residents that those who are improperly dressed or are trying to be "hipster" and different are to be erased from their community. They do not tolerate mouth, and physical discipline toward children is often used.

The East Side

The East side of Louiseville is impoverished, and mostly constructed from outcasts and exiles. The buildings are shack-like, most of them with leaking rooftops. Although life is livable, there is a lot of gang violence and drug abuse. It is dangerous to walk the streets at night.

Families here are just trying to get along. Most of them work multiple jobs; sometimes parents aren't able to be there to tuck their children in at night. People have learned to be interdependent on each other. It is a tight-knit community-- everyone seems to know each other, and if you don't know someone, you stop being strangers. There is a mutual respect throughout this district, and a dependence on the other's success.

There is also quite a bit of bias, but not as detrimental as the West side's set of unwritten laws. The divide mostly occurs between different gangs and social groups: geeks, nerds, dweebs, hipsters, and gangsters. There's danger if you're involved in any of these groups, but otherwise, the rules are more lenient and forgiving. Unfortunately, there is only one school for both high school, middle school, and elementary school, so the tension increases once East and West side children converge.

CHARACTERS

ROMEO MONTAGUE

*photo board coming soon.*

the rich boy.

Selfish, snobbish, and with an extreme superiority complex.

Romeo is the epitome of selfishness. He is greedy, unable to let anything go unless he is perfectly aware of its uselessness. His possessiveness extends not only to materialistic things, but people themselves, and his obsessive and clingy nature is unlike any other. While most would feel aggravated from constantly being surrounded by the same few people in the same stuffy rooms, Romeo feels a natural inclination to find as many people as possible and nose his way into their lives. However obsessive and stalkerish he can be, though, Romeo is a true friend only to a select few. He has so many "companions" that he feels free to ignore their needs or wants if they do not concern him. Thus, Romeo is not an extremely loyal person unless his stubborn respect is earned, and his ideals are met.

THALIA MARTIN

*photo board coming soon.*

the poor girl.

Quiet, introverted, and hard working.

Thalia is a soft-spoken girl. Having come from a very muted home life, she's accustomed to talking only when she deems necessary. Other than that, she often chooses to place blame on herself instead of on others. Although willing to talk to others, there is an innate fear within Thalia toward most people. She is more open when in a close relationship with another person, and will talk cheekily when in a small crowd. Her impoverished background has lead her to be a very hard worker, and she believes that there isn't much she can't accomplish if she just puts her mind to it.
