Chapter Three

Izabel's P.O.V

After the three of us split off, I head to my locker. I get over there and see my ex-best friend is making out with her boyfriend on my locker. You gotta be kidding me. I roll my eyes and walk closer.
"Um excuse, ahem could you two NOT shove your tounges down each others throat on my locker?"
Her boyfriend glares at me. "Heather, you know this bitch?"
She looks me up and down. "Nah babe. She's just some whore."
He laughs and they walk away.
Calling me a whore? Seriously? She should take a look at herself. I put some books away and head to class. My first class is history. And honestly, history is one of my favorite classes. We actually learn interesting things that don't make me want to fall asleep. I walk into the classroom and everyone's eyes turn to me. Here we go again. I sit an empty desk with an empty seat next to it. The bell rings and the teacher is about to talk when the door flies open.
"Sorry I'm late Mr. Cousins."
"You're fine Kaiden, just have a seat please." He winks at him and walks closer and closer to where I'm sitting when he plops down into the seat next to me.
"Hey Izabel."
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
"Hi Kaiden."
Mr. Cousins begins telling us the rules for the class. Of course I'm not paying attention. My mind is everywhere at the moment. Kaiden has been my crush since 6th grade. I've never really talked to him much. Maybe a few "hellos" in the hallways but that's it. The teacher takes roll call and passes out the disclosures.
"Alright class. Now, as you know you guys are a honors class. Which means, you guys will have your first project today."
The class protests and whines. "Quit your whining. You guys will get to choose your topic BUT, it has to be involved with World War 2. I have chosen your partners for you, I will begin reading the list now." He goes through a bunch of names, I'm still waiting for mine, but also waiting to see who Kaiden gets paired with.
"Miss Izabel and Mr. Kaiden will be partners."
Holy shit no way this is happening right now.
"Alright the rest of the class time is yours!" Kaiden turns to me, "So partner... where and when do you want to work on our project?" "6:00 my house?" He smiles, "Sounds perfect! Here let me give you my number." He starts writing it down and my heart begins to race. This must be a dream. I am finally talking to my crush oh mah gawd. He hands me the paper. "See ya later Izabel."
"See ya." I watch him walk to his friends on the other side of the classroom and take my phone out to text Grayson what just happened.
Me: Holy shit Gray you aren't going to believe what just happened.
Gray: What?!?! Tell me.
Me: Kaiden and I have a project to work on together for history! He's coming over to my house today AND he gave me his number!
Gray: That's nice (lol I had to put that in here)
Me: Um okay I thought you'd be happy for me... are you okay? Read 8:50am
I stare at my phone in disbelief and anger. What the fuck is wrong with him? Why isn't he happy for me... whatever. I throw my phone in my bag and the bell rings for second period. Guess I have to deal with his shitty mood in math now... fun.
