My dad wasn't going to be the man who'd win the Best Dad of the Year Award.
He was the opposite; he was the one making sure I'd quite literally ruin my life. He did everything in his power to discourage, humiliate and mistreat me. To make it even worse; he didn't use his hands, but his words.
In some ways I was at fault for own my pain too. I kept having my hopes up, kept having expectations I knew were never going to happen. It was stupid of me but I couldn't help it.
Sometimes pain was the only thing that reminded me I was alive and luckily, thanks to my dad, I felt it every day.
Pain that's caused by words was my favourite. It won't ever heal, the scars can't be covered and ignored. It cannot be fixed.
And my dad didn't have any problem with executing this. He seemed to rather enjoy it, seeing he did it every time he had the chance.
I clenched my jaw, suppressing the urge to violently throw my phone against the wall in front of me. My parents were still trying to call me right now and the buzzing of my phone agitated me to no end.
I was seriously contemplating whether or not to rip my sim card out of it.
Why did people think it was alright to keep calling me after I denied their call multiple times?
Clearly they didn't get the message.
Sadly enough it wasn't just some guy from school I could block. It were the people who were supposed to be there for me, take care of me.
