Authors note: There will be a lot of Ciel in this chapter. Also, do you guys like where the story is going? Please tell me.
You awoke groggily, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. For a second, you wondered if you were still dreaming because you didn't recognize your surroundings. Then you remembered the previous day. You were still wearing the clothes from yesterday. You pushed yourself of the bed, wincing as your arms still hurt from the previous day. You made your bed, which was a grand victorian one with drapes. You walked over to the mirror hanging on the other side of the room and looked at yourself. You were a mess, with tangled hair and a tired face. Also, you realized your shoulders and arms had been terribly bruised. You opened your vanity, seeing perfumes and jewelry and brushes placed there. You wondered how they got there, as no other females lived with Ciel. Nonetheless, you brushed your hair back to neatness. You walked into the washroom that was connected to your room and washed your face. Back in your room, you opened your window, letting the fresh air come in. Ciel. You were tied to him forever now. What did he think of this? Knowing him, he probably already hated you or thought you were an annoyance. But what could you do? You were technically dead after all. You had no where else to go. Suddenly, you heard a knock on the door before it opened. It was Sebastian, holding a bunch of dresses. He smiled kindly.
"Ah, I see you've waken. I'm glad I did not disturb you." He walked over to the closet, which had been empty and starting filling it with the clothes he brought. "Young master has told me to bring you clothes and other things you may need. He also asked me to apologize for the way we mistreated you yesterday.
"It's alright...and thank you." You said awkwardly.
"Also, you need to be at the dining room in half an hour. That is where we will be having breakfast. I will send Mey rin to help you dress." He looked at your clothes." What you're wearing now isn't exactly fitting." And with that, he walked out, leaving you a little stunned. Maybe Ciel didn't completely despise you yet. Shortly after, you heard a knock on the door. Mey rin walked in.
"Miss y/n, I'm here to help you dress if you allow me."
"Yes, thank you for your help." You said kindly. She picked out a light blue dress with white lace. She helped you put on a corset, which you hated immediately, and arranged the dress nicely. She put your hair down, making two little braids on each side and bringing them together. At the end, she put a small hair clip shaped like a rose to tie them together. You looked elegant, but you didn't really like it. The corset was greatly bothering you, but it wasn't like you could do anything about it.
"Wow, you look gorgeous!" Mey-rin said, looking astonished. Young master will be waiting for you at the dining room." She quickly exited, before you could reply or thank her. You sighed, wondering what the heck you had gotten yourself into. To you, Ciel had been nothing but a figment of your imagination, a daydream. But now you hated that in reality, you were practically glued to him. That was something you did not want. You wanted freedom. You knew at the moment you didn't have any real emotions towards him. You had never really spoken to him. You walked down the stairs, knowing exactly where the dining room was thanks to the episodes of the show that you watched. The doors were closed. You took a deep breath, your palms sweating. You suddenly felt nervous. You knocked the door before allowing yourself in. There he was. He was drinking a cup presumably filled with tea, a thoughtful look on his face.
"Hello." You said. You had no idea what you should call him. At first, you were about to call him young master, but that would have been very embarrassing. But calling him Ciel would be too casual. You settled on Mr. Phantomhive. He looked up, a bored expression on his face.
"Miss (last name) , please have a seat." He gestured towards the chair next to him, where plates were set up along with the food. You noted Sebastian wasn't in the room, which you thought was rather strange. You walked over to the chair, sitting down. Once again, you remembered why you hated corsets as it compressed your stomach barely allowing you to breath. "I apologize for the rude demeanor we had yesterday. I hope Sebastian didn't hurt you very much." He said, the bored tone obvious in his voice. Yet you sensed something else. He had a calculating look, as if he was judging every action you made. He still had his guard up, and as you felt eyes looking at you, you figured out that Sebastian was in the room, but he was hiding so that you would feel safe. If Ciel was going to have his guard up, so were you. Just because he was as handsome as he was didn't mean you were going to become an idiot that kissed his feet.
"It is alright Mr. Phantomhive, I would like to thank you for your hospitality." Out of politeness, you took a croissant that was sitting on a plate, and took a small bite out of it using a knife and a fork while Ciel sipped his tea.
"So, would you be kind enough to tell me more about yourself, Miss l/n?" He focused all his attention on you, making you feel slightly uncomfortable. The bored look had become a slightly intruiged one.
"Well, I am 13 years old, almost 14. I have been studying for most of my life. " You replied shortly.
"Tell me. What exactly do you study? I'm curious to know about your learning environment. " He placed his chin atop his hands, obviously interested in what you had to say.
"Every child at the age of 5 or 6 starts attending school, and we have 7 grades, which are basically levels before we move on from what we call Elementary school. In elementary, we learn the basics of reading, writing, math, science, and art. We also learn historical lessons and social studies...." You continued to tell him about the things you did, him only interrupting to ask questions. After telling him about school, he asked about your social life and you had to explain popularity to him and how there were ranks that the students created for themselves such as "cool kids" and "rebels" and "nerds". When you told him that you weren't that popular, he instantly asked you why.
"Because the people who are popular are idiots. Their minds are small, they can't discuss bigger ideas and they can't think for themselves because society always thinks for them. The girls who I would have to associate with to be popular can't solve the simplest math equation and only know how to gossip and talk about boys." You said frustratedly. "They are terribly rude to everyone around them for no reason at all because they think they are better than everyone. I can't stand people who assume they are better than someone else because while some people make more mistakes than others, they are still human. So I don't even try to associate with them because I know I will get angry." Ciel had a small smile on his face.
"So if you assume you are better than someone else, you are instantly a bad person?" He asked.
"That is correct, if you assume that you're better than someone then you're probably worse. However, if you are better than someone else and regard it as a fact, then you have confidence and it isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you don't hurt others."
"Nice answer . I couldn't have said it better myself. We should eat before the food gets completely cold." He said, starting to eat. You nodded, eating yourself since you were starving. After finishing, Ciel got up. "It was nice getting to know you, miss l/n. I hope you enjoyed your breakfast." He said, managing to look angry while he said it. It was adorable how he always looked angry, you thought, smiling slightly.
"I truly did, and thank you Mr. Phantomhive." You replied.
"Please call me Ciel." He said seriously.
"As long as you call me y/n."
"Very well , it's a deal." And with that, gel walked out of the room.
Ciels Pov:
The girl was smart. She knew how to calculate and manage to say the correct thing. But I'm still not sure whether to trust her or not. She doesn't seem to have the ability to do anything harmful, as Sebastian had no trouble restraining her. However, I can't help but naturally open up to her. Something about her makes her really easy to talk to. It didn't help that she looked beautiful in that dress. I wonder what she would look like in a midnight blue. I know I shouldn't let my guards down so quickly, but Suit did say she was stuck with me forever. I might as well try to make the best of it.
