Angel's P.O.V.
"Thank you so much for letting me stay here for a while I promise I will try not to be a bother to you."
"Please it's no problem at all, besides Sara been dying to see the kids for months and you're part of the family even without that dickhead you left at home." I smiled and got up.
"I'll be right back I'm just going to go to the bathroom for a minute." I went to the bathroom that was by the room where the kids were sleeping. I ran the water and splashed some on my face, putting my hands on the sink with my face down. Gosh I'm so lost. I hate love cause 9 out of 10 it always screws you over in the end. AND DON'T NONE OF Y'ALL MAKE A JOKE OUT OF THAT CAUSE I WILL GET SHEILA ON YOU!!!
I lifted my head up and something in the mirror caught my eye. I turned off the water as I moved one of my hands towards my neck and took ahold of the metal that was around it. Twirling the little angel in my fingers I couldn't help but feel holes in my chest, it felt like my soul was crying and my heart disappearing. I snatched the necklace from around my neck and threw it in the garbage can in the bathroom. I don't want that anymore than he want me.
I went back into the living room where Sara and John was just chatting away. When she caught sight of me she automatically ran over and put me in a tight hug. I hugged her back and she pulled back patting my hair. She ran her thumbs over my cheeks smiling at me.
"I haven't see you in a while child. How have you been? How's your aunt?" Y'all probably wondering who this is I'm with right. Well I'm with Mason aunt Sara and her boyfriend John. Who picked me up from the house was John because he haven't met John yet so I know he wouldn't know who car I got in if he looked out the window. I also found out months ago that her and my aunt are best friends. ISN'T THAT IRONIC.
Mason doesn't know that I'm always hanging around her so I know he would expect for me to be here.
"She's fine, but wait you haven't talked to her?"
"Not for a couple of weeks because I have been doing the over night shifts at the hospital, but I'm taking her out next week. She just don't know it yet."
"Awww best friends goals."
"Quite child. I got to say I'm not even not surprise that you are here. I expect for you to leave that house sooner or later."
"How come?"
"Because I believe in not knowing what you have until it's gone. Actually give me your phone."
"Why?" I asked taking it out an vs handing it to her.
"No reason." She threw it to John and he caught it.
"Call my nephew from his phone." I stood there wide eye.
"What are y'all doing?"
"We are just gonna prank Mason. He is a big boy he can take it." I just shrugged my sliders shoulders as John put the phone towards his ear.
"Hello so this is the person that's been making my Baby feel unappreciative. Poor thing fell asleep right aside me, but a course I had to help him forget about his problems. Cause can't nobody do his body like I can." I swear I heard yelling on the other side of the phone and then he turned around looking at us laughing. Sara held her hand out for the phone and John gave it to her.
"Oh shut up before I come over there and beat your ass. I mean you're acting like one anyway right?" She said walking away with my phone into the bedroom.
"Y'all act like kids."
"We are only 43 and 40. We aren't that old. Beside in a relationship I believe you're suppose to play like friends, love like husband and wife, and fight like siblings. It's boring if y'all serious all the time."
"I guess you're right, but jeez did you have to say nobody did my body like you do my body?"
"Yes because he will automatically think that you had another guy for when he wasn't acting right. He will start think that he is easily replaceable which will crush him from the inside if he really loves you, because he will think 'The love of my life replaced me in a heartbeat. Was I really not the man I should had been for him." I blankly stared at him. He's good.
"Why didn't I think of that."
"Well child you're only young."
"I thought you wasn't that old?"
"Thinking makes you old. I was 18 yesterday." He said popping up his collar.
"Nah you old because no one does that anymore."
"I guess I'm a cool no one than."
"SARA COME GET YOUR MAN BEFORE HE STARTS POPPING GUM LIKE A PROSTITUTE!!!" I heard laughing from behind me.
"I'm right here now what is he do-, If you don't un-pop your collar." She handed me my phone back and I just wonder what she told him, but at the same time why do I care?
"What you gonna do if I don't?"
"Throw you away since tomorrow is trash day. Or I'll just sell you to a lonely old lady. Your choice." He quickly fixed himself and she winked at me.
"Now go show angel where he can sleep Mr.Coolpop." She walked out and I laughed at him.
"Coolpop? Really."
"Hell yeah because at night we-"
"TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!!! I THINK I'M READY FOR BED."
"That shut you up real quick."
"Longer than it takes for you to cum."
