Cora's POV

My family has always belonged to the wizarding world, so it is well known that in my family we all are wizards and witches. My parents studied at Hogwarts for some years (my father belonged to the Slytherin house, my mother on the other hand belonged to the Gryffindor house) and now it's my turn. I'm the only daughter at home, but that doesn't bother me since I don't share a room with anyone or I don't have to worry if my belongings disappear from one day to another. A few days ago, before reaching 11 years, I decided to take a stroll around the zoo in the city, accompanied by my mother. It might seem strange, but my parents always have forced me to wear a black hood to hide my face. They say that it's for my protection, that someone perhaps would like to hurt me, but I don't believe it. I think that my parents hide my face since it's alike to that of another person and they don't want "they" to find me. Who? I don't know the answer to that question for now, but what I do know is that something strange happened at the zoo: I was walking through the area of reptiles, when in the distance I saw a family of muggles, but something caught my attention, one of them seemed to give off a different aura, as if he was one of us... a magician. I approached the boy and I was able to see the scar he had on his forehead; That didn't leave me any doubt about his identity, that, and the unusual fact that his name came to me as if I already knew it before... long before.

—Hello, ¿who are you? —asked the boy, watching me with his eyes full of curiosity.

—That is not important now... Harry Potter. —I replied using his name for the first time, feeling that we would soon see each other again, and not only that, but I sensed that a strange connection joined us, at least on my part. Before the boy who lived could ask me something more I has already disappeared from his view, searching for my mother, who suddenly seemed strangely nervous and concerned about something I didn't know.

—What happens mom? —I asked with some concern, since she had become as pale as the moon —. You're pale and trembling...

—Cora. let's get to the car. Now. —demanded my mother with a tone that didn't admitt any reproach, in addition to that, she seemed to be in a hurry, dragging me almost literally to the vehicle. My mother said nothing all the way back home, even when I asked her repeatedly what was happening. In fact, my mother sent me early to bed that day in order to speak alone with my father, who also seemed worried as son as we arrived from the zoo. After several hours past midnight feeling that I couldn't sleep, and wishing with all my strenght to find out what my parents were discussing, I got out of the bed silently and tried to not make the slightest noise as I approached the door of the living room. As it was night everything was relatively calm, so the voices of my parents could be Heard quite clearly, yet to my dismay, they spoke on wishpers, making me able to hear only a few words.

—Potter....He...creature....dangerous..no...Hogwarts.....house...

These were the few words I was able to hear, and I couldn't hear much more since my parents went out of the room. I got into bed and faigned to sleep, a few seconds later my mother entering the room and giving me a good night kiss.

The days passed as they did the months, in all of them I wondered what was that my parents had discussed, and why now they looked at me with a certain apprehension and fear. The day of my birthday arrived sooner than I had expected, and my parents had organized a party to celebrate it, however I had never liked to celebrate my birthday, because somehow, I felt that it shouldn't do so. July 31 started out as a normal day, until my parents began to act strangely: they spoke in whispers when they believed that I couldn't hear them and seemed somewhat distracted.

—Mom, have you purchased a cake? —I asked after entering the kitchen (and after having Heard my parents wishper once more).

—That's right, Cora. —answered my mother with a sincere smile, the first one since a long time —. I thought that you might like to open your present now... —she added with some enthusiasm, leading me to the living room. When we arrived I could see a considerably large package. I approached towards it cautiously and opened it, revealing a white cat as the snow and blue eyes as the sea.
