Human World

It's summer, and the weather was sunny and cloudless like a birdsong and fragrant flowers. All around was full of peace and quiet everywhere. But, in this quiet and full of trace of strange, it may feel uneasy, as if something is about to happen in general.

"I told you, it's impossible. I, Mu Tang Chun's major turning point of life, will absolutely not get betrothed because of that ridiculous arranged marriage!" In a certain luxurious villa, there was a sounded echo of strong protest from a woman, and the atmosphere were with swords drawn and bows bent.

"Chun Chun, calm down a bit. Your Uncle's son, who's your fiancé, Mo Ran Chen, is soon returning to back to his home country. In two days time, you will transfer school, and you will be in the same class with him. Then, you two will learn to like each other." Knowing perfectly well of her daughter's temperament of eating soft food, but refuses hard food. As a result, Mu Zhen Lin, she needed to be patient in convincing her daughter.

"Who wants to marry and cultivate a relationship with him?! I don't want his last name, also! I don't even know what he looks like, and by no means I don't want it!"

In any case, Mu Tang Chun is very disgusted with her own life being arranged in such random man. Daddy and Mommy are too much to go as far as to conceal this information from her. The rebellious mentality of an adolescent made her even more unacceptable of the unforeseen event.

"Chun Chun, no matter how things are, the matter has been set. Ran Chen is set to come back already. So you... ..."

"No way. There's no way. You two are too much. I hate you both... ..." Suddenly interrupting her father's words, Mu Tang Chun turned and ran away. The door was accompanied by slamming, and her grieving weeps.

...

Mu Tang Chun panted with rage as she got back into her room. Daddy and Mommy forced her to do something she doesn't want to. Currently, her mood is quite awful as she rushes to the balcony, unexpectedly. She took two big breaths of air and exhaled, resolving her feeling of depression from her heart.

As if her feelings could really affect the weather, the cloudless weather turned dark. Suddenly, the rumbling thunder accompanied with heavy rain came down. People couldn't duck at all, everyone was soaked thoroughly. All of a sudden, a silver lightning came across the sky. Like all meteors, it was beautifully sparkling and brief.

Afterwards, the clouds and weather cleared in an instant.

The occurrence of these things was nothing more than a blink of an eye. If it weren't for seeing the wet ground, she might think that she really thought it was just an illusion for herself. Mu Tang Chun's mouth widened as she was startled. The original unpleasant feelings of the heart immediately swept away. God, she should not be dreaming, watching movies isn't so exciting.

But what she didn't find was a silver light in the sky that was falling rapidly in her direction. Her reaction to it was already too late. She was knocked out by an unknown object that fell out of nowhere. An unknown object hit her head on, leaving her flailing on the ground.

"Whoa, a snake!" Mu Tang Chun clutched her aching head, and looked down at the unknown object. When she found out it was a white snake, she screamed as she turned deathly pale. What an awful thing that snake is. Her thought goes back to when she was bitten by a snake in her childhood, thus, her heart grew a shadow over it.

Now she saw the snake in front of her. How can she not be afraid? Frightened, she screamed loud. Then, her two feet step on it without any hesitation.

T/N:
So guys, I've taken the liberties to make it as sensible it can be since I'm not a Native Chinese or speak/understand/read Chinese. I know little phrases or some Chinese characters, but not enough to pass by. I use online Chinese dictionary to translate these. So for its working. Let me know in the comments if you like the story.

1) 鸟语花香 (niǎo yǔ huā xiāng) - In idiom form, it means birdsong and fragrant flowers which is based on Chinese Yabla dictionary website. Chinese-tools: Chengyu translate it in English as 'a fine spring day.' While in figurative sense from the Chinese Yabla, it means 'the intoxication of spring day.' So in my own understanding, the author wanted to convey that despite its summer, the day was similar to a spring day and everything is beautiful and filled with flowery scents.
2) 终身大事 (zhōng shēn dà shì) - Literally means major turning point of lifelong import. It usually pertains to marriage or something really big that happens in your life.
3) 剑拔弩张 (jiàn bá nǔ zhāng) - The literal translation of this is 'with swords drawn and bows bent. Its an idiom that means tensions are high and agitated. In figurative words, a state of mutual hostility. Meaning Mu Tang Chun is really infuriated at the idea of having a betrothal at an early age.
4) Uncle - The Chinese character used in here is 伯父 (bó fù). It means father's elder brother, but it doesn't necessarily means an actual blood brother. This can also be a term of respect to an older man, too. I used Uncle instead of the Chinese word since it isn't needed at the moment. Maybe I'll change it later on.
5) 吃软不吃硬 (chī ruǎn bù chī yìng) - Literally means eats soft foods, but refuses hard foods. Its an idiom you can persuade them, but you can't coerce them. Persuade is just talking them, making the offer enticing. But, coercion is more of forcing someone or you using force to get them to take that deal.
6) 阴影 (yīn yǐng ) - literally and figuratively means shadow. The used of this word I guess means she's reminded of the past and now she feels dread. Or something like that.
