Shawn POV

I don't want to leave for the studio. I never seem to be motivated to do anything that doesn't revolve her when I'm with her. It's so weird. When I'm around her I am entranced with her and never care for anything else. But when were apart I am inspired and motivated to do something.

"Don't leave." She says as I stand up and grab my jacket.

"I don't want to." I say throwing my jacket back on the chair it was draped over. Maybe I'll just cancel today. I am allowed to take a day off. I sit next to her again and feel as she snakes her arms around me. I suddenly feel guilty.

"I should go." I say standing up again.

"No Shawny, stay with me." She whined. I smile and lose focus for a second. Then what Geoff said yesterday makes sense. She's hurting me.

She is preventing me from focusing on my work, myself, my fans. What am I doing? She is like this drug that I have become addicted too. I don't want a relationship like that.

I shake my head.

"No, I need to go to work. Actually we need to talk about us. You are distracting me and I need to focus. I think we need a break." I say grabbing my jacket again.

"Are you seriously going to let me go. Honey I made you better. You are so stupid sometimes." She became defensive. I walked out realizing that I was too far gone to notice what everyone was telling me. I get in my car and drive to the studio.

"Shawn, you're early?" Geoff said.

"Yeah." I smile. Suddenly I feel a lot better.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I broke up with her. I finally understood what you meant by her hurting me without me noticing." I said.

"I think that this is the perfect time to write a song. A song about a girl who is hurting you when you were with her and when you aren't." He said showing me a post she made about me. I roll my eyes in disgust. I grab a guitar and start strumming.

"Hey what about that song we heard a few days ago, Stitches." I said starting to hum the words. It was perfect.
