"Why you been acting so weird lately Jayda?" Shania asked as they watched a couple of men move the brand new couches into their new house in Miami.

"I don't know what you're talking about." She lied. "I've been acting normal."

Shania gave her that 'you know I know you're hiding something' look. "Right. As long as I've known you, you really think I don't know the normal you from this weird shit?" She shook her head then walked into the living room where the couches were placed. There was no doubt that it bothered her that her best friend was hiding something from her but all she could do was wait for Jayda to tell her herself. She wasn't going to try and pry it out of her or investigate and find out for herself because she figured if Jayda still hasn't said anything, it must be seriously hard for her to talk about.

"Thank you so much!" Shania said thanking the men for delivering the couches and moving them inside.

"No problem miss." One of the guys answered. The other was too busy taking the plastic off of the couches so he didn't hear her over the noise.

Jayda walked into the room and thanked them as well. "Do you guys know any good food places around here? We're new here."

"Yeah, what kind of food you looking for?" The one that was unwrapping plastic said as he walked over

"Anything." Both girls responded.

"There's this soul food joint in that little plaza up the street. Do you know where Publix is?" He asked.

Jayda nodded. "Yeah. We just came from there earlier."

"Bet, so make a right at that stop light right before Publix, then go down like a quarter mile and there's a plaza. It's got all types of food places in there but the soul food place is the best." The man explained.

"Thank you uhhh..." Jayda paused. "Whats your name?"

"Michael. Yours?" He asked with a smile.

Jayda caught the side eye from Shania. "Doesn't matter. But thanks again for the help. We really appreciate it."

"No problem." Michael nodded and him and his work partner left the house.

Shania started sitting all over the couches trying to get a feel for them. "Yeah, I think we made a great choice with these."

"Im starving can we go." Jayda asked.

Shania hopped off the couch and grabbed her purse and the keys. They locked the doors and left the house to go check out this place that these guys recommended. It wasn't a long drive but it wasn't a short one either. When finally got there, they saw that it was pretty busy. They were seated and ordered their food and made small conversation throughout.

"So do you think you're gonna like it here more than California?" Jayda asked Shania before taking a bite of her food.

Shania shook her head as she stared at her food. "Girl, I already fell in love solidly because of this food right here." They both laughed.

"They wasn't lying when they said this place was poppin'."

Shania was in heaven with the food. "Chres will love this place, I can't wait until they get here."
