Chapter 7:Calming

Said umbrella basket apparently only had two umbrellas inside...

"Well... Looks like one of us will have to share..." said Frisk

"I'll share with Y/N" said Chara

"Oh! Are you sure?" Asked Frisk

"If I wasn't then would I have said it in the first place?" Replied Chara

"Ahaha, right... Y/N are you ok with sharing an umbrella with Chara?" Asked Frisk

"Of course" I replied

"Ah ok..." Frisk said

With that Frisk got one and Chara did too. Chara gave me the umbrella.

"You hold it up, you're taller." Chara said

"Alright" I said

And so as we entered the 'rain', Chara got really close to me... Soon walking however we encountered monster kid.

"Hey guys!" Exclaimed monster kid "You can hold umbrellas! Nice, I'll tag along with you then, huh?" He said looking at Frisk, she nodded.

So he tagged along with Frisk, who were up ahead of us. Chara had pulled out her chocolate and broke a small piece off.

"Here" said Chara

"Oh uh thank you." You said

"Welcome." Chara said

Quickly finishing your small piece of cbocolate you eventually reached a darker area where you could see the castle. Everyone stopped to look. It was actually a very beautiful sight, in person and the the atmosphere made everything calming... You had felt something on your hand and was gonna look until...

"Woah it's really pretty." Frisk said

"Yeah..." monster kid said

With that you ventured onwards. After exiting the the dark part of the 'cavern' you want to say, you came across another basket and a steep ledge. Returning the umbrellas, monster kid let us climb his shoulders to get up.

"You guys go on ahead, I'll find a way to get through!" Monster kid said

After that we entered a dimmer area with more monster-human history however we decide to not read it. We reach a bridge like area and we were met with spears holding out the ground and the sound of metal, meaning undyne was under us. All of us entering a sprint we stuck together taking random turns and eventually reaching the dead end... However the spears stopped so we turned around and attempted to go back however undyne walked foward revealing herself... Summoning spears she cut the bridge and we fell...

Waking up in a small patch of flowers we got up.

"That was some fall, huh?" Chara said

"Yeah..." you said

Frisk simply nodded.

Moving on and passing trash you came across a dummy.

"Hey Frisk-" Chara started

"No" Frisk interrupted

"Hey, I didn't even finish what I was gonna say" Chara said

"And you didn't need to, I already knew what you were gonna ask" Frisk said

"Oh really? Because if I asked Y/N to..." Chara said

"Chara-" Frisk started

"Hey Y/N can I hit the dummy?" Chara asked

You shrugged forgetting the dummy was actually alive and said

"Sure, it's just a dummy."

"See Frisk Y/N is ok with it." Chara said

"Wait-" Frisk said but it was a fruitless effort as Chara had already hit the dummy... Said dummy had wobbled a bit then tipped over creating a small splash. You snorted at the scene due to how comical it was.

"See, nothing bad and it was even an enjoyable experience for Y/N too." Chara said

Frisk sighed and motioned for us to move on, to which we did. However as we were near the end a splash was heard and said dummy appeared in front of you.

"Ohohoho attack me AND laugh at me!" The dummy said

Frisk glared at us to which Chara simply shrugged.

"I am a ghost that lives inside a dummy!" It continued "My cousin lived in a dummy too... Until YOU came along!" Dummy exclaimed "You scared him right out of their dummy!" He paused for a moment. "HUMANS! I'll scare the souls right out of your bodys!"

After the fight and dummy saying we're stuck fighting him forever, Napstablook comes to our rescue with acid tears, making the dummy leave. Napstablook offered us to come visit and pointed out where his house and left. Frisk wanted to go to the house while Chara didn't so you went with Chara while Frisk went to Napstablook's. Instead of progressing however you and Chara played with water with a waterfall and eventually Frisk came by and made us move on. After passing through the light maze we go through water as the light dims out... I felt Chara grab my hand, I blushed but we reached land and a dead end with a echo flower. Listening to the echo flower we hear "Behind you" Chara lets go and we all swiftly turn around, the lights return and reveals Undyne! She went on about human souls and a chance for 'redemption'. She charged with a spear and when we were about to enter a battle...

"Undyne!" Monster kid screamed jumping out of some nearby wall grass "I'll help you fight!"

After that he pointed out thar we had front row seats to the fight then questioned who she's fighting. Undyne used this moment to pull him away.

Returning we discover a new path, taking it we reach a new path and reach a bridge. Monster kid popped up and discovered we were human, attempted to insult us then tried to leave but fell and barely hanging on.

"Help, I tripped!" He cried out

Just then Undyne appeared. Frisk, not caring went to save him. Me and Chara followed her a moment after, together, saving monster kid, so then he blocked undyne from getting to us and said that she needed to get through him first... She left. With that he thanked us for saving him and returned home. We went on, continuing our adventure but surprise, surprise, Undyne was there and said to step forth when we were ready to fight her.

(A/N:New chapter! Anyways, I was thinking of another X male reader book to make but can't think of a character to do, perhaps if you think how I write is decent then you could give me a recommendation or something? But if not then I shall continue with this story for now. Also point out any mistakes.)
